• The Man

  
  Appearance:
  
  Jeslyn is an Iri'fel of average height and above average disdain. His skin is tough where it matters, a warm orange in colour with a pale cream travelling down under his jaw, over his chest along with the insides of his upper arms and thighs. Two versatile, pointed ears twitch in every direction to catch sounds both subtle and obvious or even to express emotion and from the base of his spine a long thin tail covered in red carapace extends outward, the tip pointed and sharp. One might compare Jeslyn in some aspects to the Earthen description of a manticore, but it's clear he's very much not that.
  
  It's clear Jeslyn has been through a lot of physical trauma in his life. The skin around his left eye is burned as if by acid and the eye itself is replaced with a cybernetic alternative with a black sclera and green pupil. Matching the aesthetic, perhaps due to the signature design of the manufacturer, his missing right arm and left leg are also replaced with black and green prosthetic's.
  
  Clothes:
  
  Jeslyn dresses for practicality. Often when he's working he'll be wearing a simple shirt underneath his beloved, long serving lab coat. He wears dark pants that are cut off at the ankle.

  Despite grumpiness, Jeslyn will usually try to do what's right or good. He veers between neutral good and chaotic good in that he feels compelled to be kind to others but often leans more toward a selfish focus on personal freedom and welfare due to his experiences in the war. He's very resilient to authority and will not think twice about defying it given a good enough reason.

  • Known for his thoughtful trances and endless staring into space while he processes his ideas.
  • Pinches his jaw and covers his mouth when he's thinking or perplexed.
  • Falls asleep sitting up a lot.
  • Mumbling under his breath, having conversations with himself, generally seeming distracted.
  • Rubbing his sore knee above where the prosthetic joins the flesh.
  • Grumpy, disdainful looks toward anything not to his taste.
  • Sighs and subtle eye rolls.
  • Baby-talking animals when no one is looking.
  • Pacing, overworking.
  • Repeatedly checking the room. He doesn't like sitting with his back to a room. Dislikes sudden noises and movements and easy to jar or startle.
