  Jeyne Kanda is a Siberian flying squirrel born and raised in Kasuria. She is a wandering traveler with no known occupation or family, though she bears a very common surname found in Kasuria. Keeping mostly to herself, she has flit from town to town in search of settlement or shelter, never staying for too long for a fear of being found.
  
  You see, Jeyne Kanda is actually Jeynessa, a runaway Consort who was meant to be betrothed. All that has been revealed about her family is that they have a manor, most of Jeyne's siblings are Attuned, and a number of her family members practice fire magic. Jeyne has other ideas, particularly on the current political situation and the similarities between the King and his Mages' pecking orders. She is currently lying low, having sold most of her jewelry to provide for herself. She is currently hovering around Greystone and the surrounding area, though that may change with the number of knights around.
  
  On October 24th/25th OOC, Jeyne was present during the great fire of Greystone. Permitted to be out and about on a technicality (squirrels eat a lot of nuts, but they are omnivores), she bumped (quite literally) into the rabbit Anastacia, the fox Eugene Broderick, and the canine Lolitaris. Thinking quickly and with the help of Ser Rexington - who controlled two Scarhawks carrying water from the air - she managed to get the small party to the temple across the river. Though she made no mention of it, an incident in which her siblings nearly burnt their home down had prepared her for the fire in the village.
  
  On October 27th OOC, Jeyne found - and successfully returned - a box of valuables to William Crowe and Valeria Strange. She also met Caitir Britta, a young and energetic Mage, and was terribly frightened by having so close an encounter with a magic-user. Thankfully, the femme did not List in Jeyne's presence, so the squirrel is still a Consort incognito. The good luck would not last for long, however, as she was forcibly relocated into a "repurposed Kiwi pen" per the orders of King Callistin. She would remain there with fellow herbivores, including omnivores that had been reclassified by the King's orders.
  
  On October 29th OOC time, the guardswoman Linia visited the herbivore pen to check on everyone there. Jeyne was cordial with Linia, offering to perform any menial tasks that the guards needed - she had done so earlier in the day, but was shot down. Linia asked Jeyne to keep an ear out for troublemakers amongst the herbivores, and said that any info Jeyne passed along would bring rewards. Jeyne agreed, and received some blankets for asking nicely.
