      Dearest Julia,

      I am so, so sorry for everything, but I still must ask one more thing of you.

      You know my plans, even though you disapprove of them, and I must let you know that I intend to act on them tonight. If you have any respect and love left in your heart for me at all, please see to it that no one steps foot into our house again. Keep it in the family, wrap it up in as many legalities as you and your father can invent-- I don't care how you do it. If there's any chance of waking up in a brighter future I have to risk it.

      I still hope that somehow you will be there when I awake, even if it is impossible. Please know that faulty as it is, my heart belongs to you in its entirety.
