Tan Kai Xuan

(I'm still trying to piece this character together, so right now this is a mish mash of old and new information, sorry about that)

Appearance:
Tall, toned, gives off 'military' vibes due to his posture and imposing stature. Has a long face with a squared jaw, and eyebrows that can only be described as shocking.

Personality:
Kai is basically a perfectionist humanitarian. He tends to be sentimental and cares or worries too much about others, including those he doesn't personally know. He takes the idea of filial piety very much to heart, for instance choosing a more 'acceptable' field of study because although his parents said they'd support whatever he did, he knew deep down they'd prefer their own choices. Later he almost abandons his education anyway to help look after his grandparents.

He's also a silent judge type of person - he gives the impression of being very accepting and kind to all, but internally has somewhat of a holier-than-thou attitude and thinks he knows better than other people even when he doesn't fully know them. He's good at keeping it hidden, but when very angry or impatient he may use his supposed moral superiority as leverage.

He can easily get angry at people who are complacent in injustice, and will also get mad if he can't fix something e.g. can't help someone, can't change an unfair system.

Shapeshifting:
Kai has two animal forms - (type?) tiger and collared crow. As a tiger he's melanistic due to his propensity for dark clothing and of course his black hair. In both forms he has a white strip across the neck from the scarf he normally wears.

He feels guilty and responsible for Gold's running away. He was the only one who didn't need to go to Hong Kong, but chose to, and in doing so left him alone with their grandmother. (Three guesses who hasn't forgiven himself yet)
