• Description

  She's short but strong and she's very fast on her paws. Her features are mainly feline though she has thick and unretractable claws on her hands and 'paws' that are similar to those of a monitor lizard. She has a snout that is a bit long for a feline as well, and has a slight overbite of fangs. Her teeth also fall out and grow back constantly, suggestive of a some type of crocodilian DNA. She has has huge, membranous wings that slightly resemble those of a bat, with her fur covering the finger-like extensions and thick, leathery, yet opaque skin in the folds. she has very strong leonine legs and a long tail with a heavy tuft of fur on the end that she uses for balance while walking/running/etc. and as she would tail feathers while flying. Her eyes are feline but her ears are similar to a cow (which retain the piercings they had from when she was human, as does her lip) and she has short, soft fur which has the perfect coat pattern of a black tux cat. White on the stomach and inner legs, hands and paws, tip of the tail, snout, and a collar-like ring about her neck of white as well.

• Biography

  At the age of 14, a girl from America on a vacation with her family was kidnapped and fell prey to hideous genetic experimentation in a remote lab somewhere in Russia. In their attempts to transform humans to enhance their abilities, they merged DNA from human subjects to that of select species of animals. Felines, canines, ungulates, fish, birds, and reptiles of all types - as well as some insects, and they even went as far as testing plant DNA. The results, though always disastrous, did not stop them. One of many experiments performed on the aforementioned girl caused her (as one among many) to transform into a different type of creature. Once this process completed she was useless for any further experimentation, so she was tossed into a pen with many other transformed humans. All sorts of forms were there, all sorts of breeds and mutants, and hybrids. With no memory of who they previously were, just the general knowledge they retained from their life (Ie: language, history, personality etc.), they had to create names for themselves and each other to retain a semblance of self as they tried to rebuild their minds and not fall into a completely feral state. During this time she bonded with a particular hybrid of wolf and panther (with maybe a little fishiness thrown in), and throughout their time spent there they became the leaders of a massive exodus - an escape. Realizing their potential, the Russian scientists tried frantically to kill the mutants they had created, but were too late.
  Fully unable to return to a normal life, the girl (now named Wildehart by a raptor/shark mix originally from Africa) and the close friend of hers who would become her mate later on (now named Mercury for his coat color), set out with their pack to find a way to live peacefully. Several years passed and she is, at the moment, living in the USA again with Mercury. The world over the past four years had managed to tentatively accept the small community of mutants that emerged. Those that could fly chose mainly social lives among the humans, while those who could swim disappeared into the deep oceans and lakes of the world. Several of the mutants remained in Russia, and eventually made their way through Europe. All of them keep in contact at some time or other though to make sure things are alright.
  Wildheart and Mercury currently reside in Tennessee, in a fairly rural area on their own where they make their way in life. They only rarely visit cities to keep in touch and associate with humans, and since Wildheart has wings, she can fly herself and her mate to many places within a about a hundred miles.
