  • Description

    Luca is six fulms tall with a square face framed by shoulder length ebon-black hair which is streaked with ribbons of white. Dark eyes are drawn into lightly sunken crevasse beneath a stern brow making his cheek bones stand out beneath the natural pink blush of his beige flesh. Unblemished skin runs from his neck down to his chest where sits a plethora of scars that run from burns to jagged cuts from an accidents in his early youth. The first scar sat over his heart and is deeply indented, taut and an off shade of auburn. It concerned a malfunctioning Machanist's Rook autoturret that had been brought in for repairs. The bit activated and shot Luca point blank. The second scar was a series of long slashes that ran down from his breast and across his side, towards his belly and abdomen. The long, serrated slashes were from a collapsed catwalk in the workshop that had fallen on him. There are various other small scars and but not as significant in size and presence.

  • Biography

    Born into a tribe that was dismayed by his curiosity, he strove to drive mad his seniors at every turn with questions and demands for new paths. In time they grew tired of his willfulness and sent him off to find his own way since theirs were too slow for him. He found solace in Sharlayan where he was able to feed both his curiosity and desire for growth.

    He became a full fledged Sharlayan and with growing accolades that allowed him to work on his studies so long as he continued to show the progress he has been since his arrival to the island.

    In time he became a man who was feared for both is ingenuity and disregard for measures of safety. Explosions by his experiments were commonplace and it was not unexpected for something to go spectacularly wrong when he was experimenting on a new device.

    Common-

    Studium - His family has been working with the Studium since its inception. He can often be found in the workshop when in Sharlayan, but not any of the common ones. He is often found in the backrooms with the less public research materials.

    Garlond Ironworks - Aside from his projects assigned from the Studium Luca can sometimes be found Mor Dhona or Rhaglr's Reach working on projects for the Ironworks.

    Labyrinthos- Can be found working on tasks in Labyrinthos, such as working on gadgets in the Sharlayan Hamlet or assisting in projects in the Thaumazein.     		Uncommon-

    Day Job - When not locked up in the darkness of his workshop Luca is known to assist with the running of odd jobs for Shallow Moor in Sharlayan's Guildship. He often exploits the busy nature of the figures coming in and out of the facility to gain information on the various fads and trends going about the four corners of the star.

    Kowtow - Occasionally he travels to the Far East in order to trade with the East Aldenard Trading Company. He will flit away the time until the next ship to Eorzea by playing the part of tourist and roving the city in extravagantly Ishgardian clothing.     		Rare-

    My Little Roboto - Luca has been working on creating a Mammet with the capacity to use bursts of magic, but his projects usually end up exploding. But it is rumored he has figured out a means, theoretically, of controlling the overload of the Mammet's core if he could get access to an Iron Giant Core.

    This set of skills employs Luca's more technical abilities with day to day tasks, engineering, and other specialized abilities.

    • Engineer - Luca is a certified civil engineer trained in the Studium as well as education with the First Dicasterial Observatorium of Aetherial and Astrological Phenomena.

    • Scientist - Regularly observes and records his environment often for personal purposes, but also for the improvement of his machines, magick, and person-to-person relationships.

    • Magitek Engineer - Luca has experience in putting together, maintaining and repairing small scale magitek devices such as bits and guns.

    • Interior Designer - Luca can design a room that pops, is efficient, and a sound structure that can survive a canon blast.

    • Leg Shot - Training his gun arm Luca has the capacity to make a targeted aim at a target's limb, causing them to find moving more difficult over time, possibly immobilizing them completely.

    • Arm Shot - Training his gun arm Luca has the capacity to make a targeted aim at a target's limb, causing them to find using their weapons more difficult over time, possibly disabling them completely.

    • Seal Evil - Using his [Seal] ability he enchants a shot that has the capacity to target Undead and Voidsent, causing them to find moving more difficult over time, possibly petrifying them.

    • Achilles - Using his [Calculate] ability to focus on an enemy's weakness he is able to use his [Shot] abilities without having to take each turn to prepare, for the rest of combat.

    • Numerology - Using his [Math] skill to calculate damage: for each successive hit with his gun (up to 5) the damage is multiplied by ten.

    • Horology - Using his [Math] skill to calculate time: for each hour to pass on the battlefield (up to 3) the damage is multiplied by a hundred.

  • Math Skill

    This skill set employs arithmetick algorithms to pinpoint targets for magickal attacks.

    •Seal - A prerequisite to any of Luca's actions: to set in place his magickal traps he reverts his Carbuncle into aether to mark an ally or an opponent as a target to his magickal actions from close up or at a distance of up to fifteen fulms. After each calculation the seal fades and he must conjure another seal through his Carbuncle's aether.

    •Calculate - He calculates the environ surrounding opponents or allies to make a measurable action with his magicks.

    •[Calculate] Arms - After calculating his opponent's equipment Luca can disrupt points of power where a seal has been brandished on the body. This ability reduces an opponent's DEF/PWR/MAG by half for a turn, or, increases an ally's by half.

    •[Calculate] Experience - After calculating his opponent's experience in a combat situation he can disrupt their advantages by discerning all measurable reactions. This ability reduces an opponent's reaction time by inducing slow, causing their actions to become more avoidable.for a turn, or, increases an ally's ability to evade actions.

    •[Calculate] Terrain - After calculating the terrain surrounding his opponent Luca can disturb the ground where a seal had been placed to slow the advance of an enemy. This ability reduces an opponent's movement speed for a turn, or, increases an ally's.

    •[Calculate] Prime - Luca draws a seal and calculates a number. If it is a prime number under 100 Luca is able to break the seal over an opponent with critical damage. This ability is not negated by Protect or She'll and abilities in their likeness that negate or diminish damage.

    •Cup of Life - When healing himself Luca can divide any excess energies to his allies that have been marked by a seal.

    •Soulbind - A target marked by this spell splits damage equally with Luca when he is hit by the opponent. Meaning that when Luca is struck half the damage lands on him and half on his enemy. The binding mark fades after one strike.
