• The List

  As a treasure hunter Korvus keeps a list of magical items that he pursues. In truth Korvus will collect any item that he comes across and has the opportunity to collect, but there are a specific few items that he desires most of all.

• Tengu magic

  As a tengu Korvus has a few magical tricks that are in no way related to his wizardry but rather his tengu blood. Part of this magic is an affinity for swords although being very much a wizard the use of swords is a last-resort to him and his swordsmanship is severely lacking for a tengu.
  
  

  Wings

  Korvus can sprout large magpie wings to fly with. Unlike many other tengu however Korvus is unable to sprout these wings from his back and instead his arms shapeshift. On average this makes him a better flier than those other tengu, but his ability to defend himself in the air is almost non-existent.

  
  

  Human-form

  Kovus can turn himself into what sort-of looks like a human, if you discount his freakishly long nose that is the exact same length as his beak. Another downside to this ability is that the parts of his skin that are usually covered in black feathers will steadily turn red until he's almost completely red-skinned.

  
  

  Magpie-form

  Korvus turns himself into a regular-sized magpie. There is no real tell in this form that can distinguish him from other magpies, aside from his ability to speak.

• Spellbook

  Korvus' spellbook is a large green book decorated with a golden horseshoe, much like the one he wears on his hat without the clover. It has a general look of newness about it, dirt or age barely seem to touch it. The spellbook is enchanted so that if anyone besides Korvus opens it they get all manner of crazy and strange contents, with the slighest chance that they do in fact get to read all of Korvus' spells and secrets.
  
  

  LUCK MAGIC

  • Fortune and Misfortune

    Korvus has delved into the secret barely touched art of Luck Magic, and the most basic, one might say the only true spell within this illustrious school is the spell that curses one with good or bad luck. However, to play with luck is to move a very powerful force of the universe, and to possibly change fate, unless fate had always intended for him to cast the spell at that time and for things to happen as they do.
    
    A d2O will be rolled with a -2 or +2, the spell will deal bad luck if the result is below 10 and good luck if the spell is above 11. It is cast through the eyes and requires 3 turns of Korvus seeing the target. The spell itself is invisible, although one with magical senses could sense the spell being cast and be effective, it is easy to dispell luck once the forces have been set in motion.
    
    The effects will usuually be relatively minor, but hindering nonetheless. One might find stuff going or not going their way in the most unexpected of ways. But luck is a very difficult thing to control, if Korvus casts it too many times his own luck will be cursed, to even out fate once again.
    
    To cast the spell he must maintain a direct line of sight with his intended target for a while, the spell requires him to see his target.
  • Roulette

    Korvus conjures a roulette with spins around his cane and then spouts out a random curse or blessing to the target. A d2O is rolled, there are 10 good effects and 10 bad ones, and he can never know which one he will get. Not even casting luck or misfortune on himself or his target will affect it, the roullette is a spell of true chance.

  • Elemental Reel

    A very special Luck Spell which incidentally is one of the few that can do direct damage. Although it's entirely up to chance that the reel will do and whether it'll even have been worth it.
    
    Three different elemental power sources will appear, one on each wing and one just over his chest, these three sources will flicker swiftly with elemental power before settling on a random element. When all is complete the spells come together and strike out towards an enemy.
    
    Mechanically this means that a 3d6 will be rolled and the indiviual results will work much like a slotmachine! Every number from 1 to 6 counts as an element, and depending on how the matches the spell changes in effect and power.
    
    No match: tiny uncontrollable and worthless cantrip
    Two numbers in a row: 2 prep spell of that number's element
    Three numbers in a row: 4-5 prep spell of that number's element

  • Fumbletongue

    Ever had a moment where everything you say seems to come out wrong?
    
    Whether this spell directly fuddles the mind or just plays with bad luck is unknown, what is known is that those affected by the spell always seem to say the wrong things. "Attack the gates!" becomes "Crack the crates!" Or "I love you." May very well become. "I love Drew."
    
  • Butterfingers

    The more annoying cousin spell to Fumbletongue. This cantrip momentarily make a person exceedingly clumsy. Due to it's heightened potency the same roll is done as to achieve misfortune, if the result does not lie below 10 then the effect will be reversed and the person with be unusually handy

• Telekinesis

  Although by far not a psion Korvus has mastered a bit of telekinesis, to help him with his daily duties. As a bird he should normally be incapable to do a lot of things other creatures take for granted, such as write or actively manipulate things. With his wings this is however not always easy, and where his bretheren stick to city's build for anthropomorphic birds, or try and clumsily write with their talons, he has studied the art of telekinesis to do all this.
  
  Korvus can only manipulate small things, and there isn't a lot of power behind it.
