Background
Comes from a small village behind the mountains. Once had a family, a loving one, until fire destroyed everything. Everyone had been burned and all that was left was her. She had been outside the village, fetching water from the well when the smoke filled the sky.
When she had returned, all that was left of the little village was the ash and smolders of her old home. Maru was only 13 at the time. So she left and grew up along the way. Staying mostly out of people's veiw.
Now 19, Maru is ready for travel beyond the little realm she had trained in. Knowing there is more to learn than the shrubs and animal tracking, Maru takes it upon herself to find company and travel along until she isn't needed any longer . . . but will her company let her travel with them if they knew what she was? Why they lived beyond the mountains?
Thing is, Maru isn't a human. Though her figure suggest otherwise she is more than meets the human eye. Of course many have came in contact with her kind. Some repected them, some hunted. During all this time they still maintained peace. She is stronger when the moon is full and weaker when it's new.
