• From the depths of the sea

  There was truly very little history to be made of Adrea. Deep Sea Merpeople hatched at the bottom of the open ocean. A very specific call would be made at the time of the hatch, and their mothers, even from miles away, would find them. It was accustom for mothers and fathers (mates) to stick together until their single (or, in rare cases, twins) baby was born. At this time, when the mothers swim off to find their children, fathers would swim off to hunt for much larger food for their families. This would be the only time the great numbers of male Deep Sea Merpeople would gather together. Mothers and their hatchlings would wait for food from the fathers, though they would never meet with them. Instead, various critters would be infected with a parasite that only the males could inject; one that would zombify the fish into doing precisely what was asked of them. The fish would then bring food to the mothers and hatchlings, so as to keep the hunt going. In this time, messenger fish could be capture and eaten, or stolen by other merfolk even within the clan if fish are scarce. This could result in mothers hunting themselves, and either dying off from being hunted, or caught.
  
  Adrea was lucky with the find of food and the sending of it. She grew up healthy with her mother and by the time she reached her first year, it was time to move on her own. Life in the deepest parts of the sea wasn't very exciting. Occasionally a fish would swim by and she'd eat it. Jellyfish were her favourite meals. Some shiny things often dropped, and she saw a whole bunch of strange, brown, box-shaped fish that would just sink to the bottom past her.
  
  Over the years, she managed to find a mate, calling through the ocean in the springtime and matching her song to that of a handsome-looking male. They enjoyed each other for a total of fourty minutes before two things happened; in the fight her mate drove himself into against another merman for her hand, she was actually captured by a deep-sea diver. The men were so immersed in the fight, they had no idea that everyone was in trouble when the waves started acting strangely.
  
  The mermen were lost forever. Adrea was swept off with an enormous wave that captured her from her home and took her off to the shores of Guildereim. The massive tsunami was so strong, it actually pulled her from the depths of the sea. With a little naturally embodied magic, she's adjusted to the new pressure on the shores, but Adrea is badly hurt otherwise. She's unable to perform any shapeshifting abilities currently and resides somewhere within TGT, hoping to be found by someone kind, though no one knows how her fate will be sealed.
