• These creatures are spirits, usually those of animals. Some are gentle and mean no harm while others are tainted souls and exist for the soul purpose of causing harm or destruction. Despite stories of creatures that have done good, the actions of those who are wicked have lead people to believe that all are malicious. Most of the creatures have been hunted to extinction, leaving only a small few in existence.
  
  It is not known whether or not these creatures cease to exist once killed, or if they are ever reborn again.
  
  
  
  This particular spirit dwells in the forest, it is very rarely seen out in the open. There is a small chance those who are traveling, or find themselves lost in the woods during the daylight hours will come across the being who, if seen, is normally spotted in heavily shadowed or dark areas. Once spotted the being is gone just as quickly as it was seen. It is more likely to be seen at night, keeping to shadowed areas of its surroundings.
  
  Often times this particular spirit will guide lost travelers, who mean it no harm, out of the forest. It watches over the creatures of the forest as well as those with pure souls who may wander in.
  
  Tall and standing over 8ft, with long limbs and an emaciated looking body. Its head is that of a deer skull, surrounded by a large amount of jet-black fluff. Intimidating but harmless, the spirit is ageless, genderless, and does not eat or drink. It is said that the only way to kill one of these beings is to pierce the heart directly.
  
  Red, out of all the colors, seems to attract it most. It collects fine glass beads and other bits and bobs, usually lost or left as offerings by travelers. Its home, which lies deep in the forest is decorated with the offerings the creature has collected.
