    The destruction of the world began with a simple interview ... a Q&A session that revealed the reality of the existence of supernatural beings and enhanced humans to the world. In practically the same breath, Dr. Grimm exposed the availability of a drug that would activate latent abilities in the user if they managed to overcome the 50/50 survival rate. The exchange also introduced the drugs counterpart, a dosage that would not only wipe out the abilities a person had, but prevent them from ever holding them again. To say that day was a shocker would be an understatement!

    As one could expect, it took just a short time for the world to turn to mayhem as families and friends turned against each other, and government and the population became foes. It was a global epidemic of violence that ended not through the efforts of humanity but by the swift wave of death that wiped out nearly the entire population. It was a rare number of teens that would find themselves waking in the empty town of Hellbound, MN..... alive, but without any abilities or way to escape.

    Before the day that started the downfall, Mona was just a regular teenager attending a D.C. high school and trying to figure out what to do with her life. She knew she wasn't going to follow in her father's steps of governmental security, given how often his job caused their family to have to move around. Nope, Mona's ideas were more simple, ranging from attainable field of education to daydreams of dipping her toes into acting.
