  • Eyes: Like looking at light through tropical water, vibrant bluegreen with a constant rippling wave effect in natural and poor human forms, brilliant blue in full human form

  • Personality: He aims for aloof and distant, but falls short. He's a kind and loyal friend. His generosity gets him in trouble freqently

  Poor Human Form

  The man’s pale skin was translucent, with subtle blue and green undertones. He almost looked sickly, but his long, tangled waves of blue green hair lent the color of his skin an eerie, unearthly quality. His eyes would further validate suspicion; to look into them was to look up at the sun through gently mixing tropical waters. You could almost drown in them. Everything about this man spoke of the sea, but what confirmed beyond a shadow of a doubt his origin were the gills along either side of his neck. Vestigial, certainly, he drew breath with his nose and mouth, but a mark of the ocean never the less. He looked fanciful and dreamlike, adorned in all manner of jewelry with pearls, gems and shells. • Special Abilities and Facts

  Shape shifting: Morgayne has a pendant necklace that allows him to take human form. How human he appears depends on how recently he has fed on human (cultured) flesh. Take it away and he's virtually useless on land, because he flops around like a fish. He wears several necklaces, both to obscure which it is, and because he likes pretty things.
  
  Tears: Morgayne's tears become pearls in any form, and are very valuable.
  
  Voice and gaze: His voice and gaze hypnotic and deeply persuasive when he decides to use his influence. His gaze is subtle, but the longer you look, the harder it is to break eye contact. His voice, and in particular his song, is stronger, but he avoids singing because it's a mercreature trademark and would make him an easy target.
  
  Blood and Flesh: Morgayne's blood is an aphrodisiac, and has healing properties. Frequent use has been shown to make the drinker appear younger and more attractive. Similarly, if he were killed and eaten, his flesh would grant immortality.
  
  Immortality: Morgayne can live for a long time, possibly forever, and age very little. It is not known how old he is. His healing time is quicker than average, and he can take more damage than a mortal, particularly after a real feeding.
  
  Although traditionally, mermaids lure, drown and consume wayward sailors, Morgayne has (with few exceptions) given up the the practice. This puts him at considerable risk; the properties of his blood and flesh make him extremely valuable and forgoing his full human form means he's easily spotted by those who know what they are looking for.
