  Nasune is an elder troll, his face grim and weathered, framed by midnight blue bangs, the rest bundled into a thick braid down his back. His eyes, one like burning fire and the other a piercing white, form an imposing stare within their deep, purple-ringed sockets. He is garbed in faded robes decked in charms, beads, and feathers, and smells strongly of various potions and incenses that likely fill the contents of his belt pouches. In his sinewy hands he carries a crooked staff bound in dyed leather, topped with a hoop from which small trinkets dangle and a mottled serpent oft sits coiled.

• Personality

  Stern, controlling, and distrustful, Nasune comes across as exceedingly xenophobic to all outside his tribe. Even the Darkspear, the tribe from which his kin split many generations ago, are met with no less malice. Though he may bend to tolerate others, his trust is not easily earned, and he does not hesitate to spit venomous words at their expense. His own kin, even when in disagreement with the old priest, will rarely speak out against him; as the eldest, his word is law. Seemingly the only one to hold any sway is his lifelong mate, Lenari, whose heart is big enough to compensate for Nasune's lacking nature--she often plays the voice of reason to his cold contempt.
  
  Beneath this callous exterior lies a fearful old troll who yearns for safety and solace. He does well to keep this weakness tightly under wrap, however. Only his mate and children have bore witness to it firsthand; all others that are aware do well to make no mention lest they draw his ire.

• Skills

  As a priest, Nasune is learned in all manner of rites and rituals, primarily focusing on death, as Bwonsamdi is his guiding loa. He is capable of minor healing, and highly skilled in darker magics, able to cause intense agony with a single utterance. Together with his mate, he performs the final rites for dying kin, and prepares their bodies mummification. As such, he has a somewhat intricate knowledge of anatomy and knows a multitude of recipes for embalming fluids, perfumes, and potions.
