• Behold!

  Watching him for too long could give a man a headache. His brain went a thousand miles an hour, and there was a constant feeling of tension behind every move he made - a burning desire to do something. It was hindered only when he seemed to forget how to use his legs. He would be walking just fine, and his knees would give out, making him limp like a cripple. Other times, his gait would be so erratic that he would trip on his own feet - one step far too short, and the next far too long.
  
  A handsome man, in the way some can only be when they are completely ruined. That smile always played about his lips - the worst a man could ever think sometimes hidden behind small, white teeth. He carried his head high and his jaw was at once square and angular. His nose blunt as though he had never told a lie, little enough to hide behind. Below lived thin lips that could manipulate themselves with confident dexterity. Immaculately clean of facial hair, as closely detailed as the careful trim of his fingernails, the careful way in which he takes care to sit and stand up straight.
  
  Yet the hat on his head looks as though he had been eating it: bent at the brim with rough scars along the hem, suggesting that it could fall off at any moment. Holes in the dome of its top that sometimes let loose the wild, long blonde hair that he lifts up from his shoulders and stuffs into the thing. The coat looked as though it had a perpetual sheen of dust, which even made the fine shirt he wore underneath it seem poor.
