Revanna's tale

Newborn defender
Revanna is what the Cii'va call "Newborn", the name given to those of her kind born after the great demonic wars. As such, she is thoroughly educated in the ways of her people and their history of war and turbulence, but she has never experienced combat with a demonic horde like most Cii'va have.
Revanna was born in the human year 1702. her caretakers quickly noticed her ability for magic, and she was taken away from home at age 5 to live in 'the monastery', located on a floating rock covered in clouds. Only the angelic races were able to find it. There, she was trained by master Lovar in general magic until age 12. At that point, Revanna was given the choice to study smiting magic, or healing magic. being the soft personality that she is, she quickly chose for healing magic, without any doubts. She excelled at her profession, and was allowed to leave again at age 127, over fifty years earlier than most other students. She departed for Hisslaron, a place among the clouds that comes closest to what the Cii'va have for a city. There, Revanna learned the arts of swordsmanship from master Julios, a renowned Cii'van swordsman. She didn't fare as well there as with healing magic, so she decided then and there that she would make sure to use swordsmanship as secondary defense.
Revanna didn't make a great many friends in her life so far. She has one good friend, her best friend Aeron, a fellow newborn. He was, however, a few years older than she was and had preferred to fight in plate and with heavy armor. When the two were sent on missions, they managed to adapt to eachother perfectly, with Aeron taking point and Revanna backing him up with her healing magic. She can handle herself on her own in combat situations, but prefers to take defensive and support positions.
She also had a friend named Gerion. This particular Cii'va was way older than she was, and had acted like a father to her since the girl's creation. The two went on missions often, same as with Aeron, but on one particular mission, things went south. Gerion sustained heavy wounds due to the unexpectad appearance of a demon lord, and died to blood poisoning days later. His body was burned to prevent spreading of the demonic aura around him.
It took Revanna a long time before she managed to get herself over Gerion's passing, but she still often has nightmares about him, and remembers him every month on the birthday of his passing. She is still weak to mentions of her so called 'uncle', a little fact that deceptive demons love to use against the inexperienced Revanna.
At this very moment, Revanna has been released from her training, now being a full-fledged Cii'va. She wanders the world of the humans in search for demons, hellspawn or those taken in by demons in order to take care of them and absolve them, so that their souls may travel to god's side in the kingdom of heaven. So far, apart from the occasional mission with Aeron, Revanna mostly worked alone and with humans she met on the ground. Not all humans were taken with the idea of angelics wandering among them, and a few of them would even consider her a witch. Because of this, revanna often walkes among them in disguise, usually cloaked.
