In their mind, the world does not exist in any shade of white, black or gray and there is no malevolent darkness just as there is no benevolent light. They are no villain just as they are no hero.     However, though they may be a dedicated scholar, they are no stranger to the more dangerous side of space and, even amongst their own kind, they are regarded as little more than a zealot at the worst and pirate scum at best. Their flagrant disregard for laws and general disdain for political red-tape, especially concerning their experiments, has branded them an outlaw in their home galaxy and, considering their willingness to continue, will most likely see to the title transferring no matter which star system or galaxy they find themselves in.
  • Race: Felleode adventum

    Planet/Origin: WN-137, “Greslat”

    Racial Description:
    The Felleode are a race that originated on the terrestrial planet WN-137, or Greslat as it is locally known, found in the Dark Star system. Greslat is approximately 15 million kilometers from its sun, a Red Dwarf, and is locked in its orbit causing no rotational axis. The planet would normally be uninhabitable due to the constant burning of one side and freezing of the other but deposits of frozen carbon dioxide going through deposition released enough gases to form a protective atmosphere that distributed the heat from one side to the other. This led to habitable environments on the longitudinal lines between the burning hemisphere and the frozen hemisphere.

    These environmental conditions shaped the basic evolution of the Felleode. The red dwarf sun puts off only 5% of light of an average solar star and therefore the habitable zones of Greslat are almost in a constant state of dusk. The eye of a Felleode has developed to compensate for this darkness and the multicolored, starry-like appearance is due to the multiple receptors within that pick up the weaker rays from the sun. Their vision also extends into infrared to help with their sight.

    With the weaker rays of light, their planet also has little to no vegetation and their main source of food is the inhalation of mineral nanoparticles through the four small impressions located at the corners of their eyes. These minerals include up to 62 trace minerals as well as the 7 primary minerals. Their biology only requires one full dosage every 72 hours which is the equivalent of one day on their world. Their sleep schedule also is included on this schedule and they are awake 60 hours of the day with one 12 hour rest period.

    The original Felleode had larger, bulkier upper arms with dual thumb and two fingers and smaller, recessive lower arms lacking the extra thumb. Their bodies were more suited to survival in what many outsiders would say was a harsh environment. Over time they developed planned breeding to select traits that were more suited to the different sub-factions within their culture. Two sub-species arose: the Felleode adventum and Felleode salvos. The adventum’s arms became thinner and the lower set became more developed with the fingers growing longer for extra dexterity. The salvos grew in musculature and the recessive lower arms disappeared entirely.

    The lifespan of a Felleode is between 250-350 years with the adventum living to a maximum of 275 and the salvos living to 350.
