Special Containment Procedures: SCP - █ █ █ █ is to be kept in a 400 sq. foot room lit with thirty (30) bulbs suspended from the ceiling producing 1000 lumens at all times. Lights inlaid in the floor must be set every 5 feet producing no less than 500 lumens. Similar protocols to those of SCP - 017 are to be followed. No objects of any kind are allowed into the enclosure unless under close supervision of class 4 personnel equipped with high-powered industrial flashlights and noise-cancelling headphones or ear protection. The lightbulbs in SCP - █ █ █ █'s enclosure are to be changed in rotation, ensuring maximum light exposure. Backup generators are to be on standby 24/7 in case of power failure in that sector. Should these fail for any reason, a response team is to be dispatched immediately to the location, equipped with pins made of cold iron at the end of a long pole as well as industrial flashlights. Personnel are highly discouraged against trying to communicate with SCP - █ █ █ █ through any means other than written word.

Description: SCP - █ █ █ █ is a male humanoid figure with short indigo blue hair and green irises with black sclera, approximately 205 centimetres in height with what appear to be bird-like attributes. Observed from the knee-down are proportionate black bird legs complete with large talons. SCP - █ █ █ █ is intelligent, capable of both speech and written language. He understands English and has expressed a preference to being referred to as a 'he' and has been noted to speak with a British accent, thought the dialect seems to vary. He's also been observed to be exceptionally polite despite being considered a cognitohazard. His fingers are somewhat disproportionately elongated, black from the second knuckle down to keratin-like points. Jutting from the side of his forearms are what seem to be black primary feathers. He has been observed to be able to produce large black wings from his arms at will, extending far beyond observable reach of his hands. It is unknown at this point whether or not SCP - █ █ █ █ is capable of flight with these, as his primary method of travel, apart from walking, is moving through shadows. He seems to be able to place himself into them, no matter how small, and reappear at will be it from another shadow or, seemingly, out of thin air. He does not appear to require any kind of sustenance nor sleep. Prolonged observations of SCP - █ █ █ █ have been described as 'boring', the subject either singing to himself, or getting lost in his own thoughts pleasantly.

Attempts to converse with SCP - █ █ █ █ verbally have ended in [REDACTED] deaths of class D personnel, and Doctor █ █ █ █ █ has since suggested written communication instead. It should be noted no physical contact has happened between SCP - █ █ █ █ or the subjects; the cause of their deaths seem to be at the behest of the subject using the phrase, 'rumor has it'. The last verbal interaction with SCP - █ █ █ █ was recorded by a wire worn by subject D-221. The transcript is below.

Addendum 1: In instances of being able to leap into shadows, subject shows far more interest in causing harm and mayhem than actually escaping. When focusing his power, his eyes will glow and his features sharpen and appear more mature. All personnel are to continue wearing ear protection when dealing with SCP - █ █ █ █.

Addendum 2: SCP - █ █ █ █ has since escaped captivity. After an extensive search of the facility and surrounding area, it has been concluded he is no longer in the area - possibly no longer on this plane of existence. A task force will be assigned passive duty of relocating and recapturing him.
