Headed by human cyberneticist Dr. Cecille Gadhavi, an ex-Peacekeeper Military doctor with alleged criminal connections and a less than honourable discharge. The Saundarya was an acquisition given to them upon the death of Dr. Gregory Weiss, an ex-cyberneticist with known connections to the terrorist organization known as Lux Aeterna. It was originally The Beholder, a titan-class starship used as a base and extensive research vessel for the terrorist organization.

The starship is now a mammoth-sized research hospital, operating outside of the Galaxy Federation's legal jurisdiction, and skirting its laws by remaining mobile. It employs legitimate doctors as well as anyone else that meets Doctor Gadhavi's strict standards, even if they are not accredited in the eyes of the law. But rest assured that the good doctor's standards are exacting. They will have no chop shop back-alley mob doctors in their employ.

The starship is bright, clean, and exceedingly sterile. Large enough to house thousands, in patients and workers, it uses the latest in technology--black market and legitimate--and is focused both on the health of its patients, as well as the latest research in medical technology.

A ship founded on words of intolerance and destruction, and forged in bloodshed; once called the Beholder, it is a behemoth, a Titan-Class ship easily housing a compliment of one-thousand. And once, it did; like-minded humans, members of the extremist, terrorist organization known as The Eye. Built by the egotistical and bizarre Dr. Gregory Weiss, for a time it orbited Blackout, a prison-satellite used to host non-humans caught by The Watchers, elite members of The Eye. Here the Beholder was a symbol of terror, of bigotry and hopelessness. A hulking monstrosity of sleek, twisted black metal, sharp edges and cold silver-on-black designs. Its labs stocked with the latest, the greatest, and its halls stalked by ideologically linked individuals. Beautiful and terrifying.

Now it is christened सौंदर्य, 'Saundarya'. Beauty.

Because Beauty is in the Eye of the Beholder.
