• History

  About 8 or so years ago a young man was working in a field on his family's land, most days would be uneventful but not this day. The young man found a strange metallic object, upon closer inspection he saw that what he had found was the head of a Warforged that had fallen apart on their land after a battle that had transpired only in recent months prior. Taking an interest in this metallic head he made it a hobby to try and fix the head so that it could once again work. A few months later, while mindlessly tinkering with the warforged head the lights within its empty sockets flared to life - the boy had successfully reactivated the dormant warforged.
  
  Grateful for this the Warforged thanked the boy and promised that it would do everything within its power to return the favor. A year later the young man finished rebuilding the once body-less construct to a giant juggernaut of a warforged. And despite the new found size and the new found power this Warforged continued to faithfully serve his master as a servant. A couple years afterward the Warforged finds itself to be part of a human family - he now serves as the butler to the young boy now a man, as well as the man's doting wife and between them two young children.
  
  A few years from the present the father of the family leaves to go on an journey to the fierce north, Frostfell, to find a hidden ruin for an archaeological expedition. In his absence he leaves behind his family and places them in the care of the Warforged he had repaired all those years passed. Present day the Warforged maintains his vigilance in protecting his Master's family, but with concerns voiced from the children and the sadness of the mother the Warforged is conflicted as to what he should do next.
  
  Find his Master for the family or maintain his guard over them and trust his Master's words that he will return?

• Personality

  Bastion is not the brightest bulb but he is fiercely loyal, so much so that he will listen to no one aside from the people he cares for or that require his help. Bastion has no memory of his previous life as a Warforged during the Last War but every now and then recalls vivid images of a terrible past long since gone. To distract himself and to fulfill his sworn oath he works tirelessly on any project that is set before him; from laundry to plowing fields, barn raising to babysitting, guarding to nurturing - he lives each day happy that he is able to help those he cares for.
  
  Bastion seldom speaks but when he does it is very brief and well thought out as to what he wishes to convey and how he does so. While his stoic face shows no signs of emotion within him he allows his gentle actions to speak of his kindness and gentleness to those he protects.
