• Description

  The healing properties of plants are well-known to Starshadow. She will pick healing herbs far afield and bring them back to her cave to dry. The jaguar keeps a large stock of dried plants in her cave at all times. Animals of many different species will travel far to receive help from her. She is willing to help all who approach her.
  
  Starshadow is loyal and patient. She does tend to be overly suspicious of canines, but this is a result of the tragic death of her sister. She enjoys helping other animals and will even help heal any prey animals brave enough to approach her. Due to this awkwardness, she finds herself relying more and more on fishing to sustain herself, lest she accidentally kill a former patient.

• Biography

  Starshadow spent her young adulthood learning the healing powers possessed by various herbs. While her sister and brother found mates and went their separate ways, Starshadow was preoccupied with her own learning. Her sister was killed as a young adult by a pack of dire wolves. Ever since that time, while Starshadow has continued to help all sick or injured large canids that come to her, she finds it more emotionally difficult to do so. She was a mature cat well into her prime years before she met any male of interest to her, and he was not even of her own species. Starshadow was a normal black jaguar until she became mates with Rosoru, an Astral Snow Leopard, or Irbis Astraea. Something about his essence spread to her and the black spots on her dark coat became pale blue like his. Before this, she was known only as "Shadow," but after the change, the name "Starshadow" stuck- partially because she became mated to an "Astral" or "Star" snow leopard, and partially because her dappled coat now looked like an impression of the starry night sky. When her loyal, loving, winged mate disappeared, she knew something terrible must have happened and set out to find him.
  
  Starshadow will stop at nothing, absolutely nothing, to locate her mate.
