• Description

  Typically clad in a rough brown cloak this rare creature often appears unassuming and inconspicuous. When it doesn't have it's cloak however it's a different matter.
  
  A dense wooden material forms a partial exoskeleton, and also gives it a distinctly humanoid form. The majority of it's limbs, arms and legs, formed by this material. It's hands and feet are less humanoid than the rest of it's extremities. The sylvan's 'feet' being little more than a trio of prehensile vines, splayed out as a tripod at the end of each limb. It's hands are similar; three very long digits of the wooden substance. It's exoskeleton is incomplete, however, though a leaf-like flesh stretches over the gaps, providing a contrast to the brown bark and a more defined body shape.
  
  The exoskeleton extends no higher than it's shoulders, however. The sylvan's complexion is defined by the same leaf-like flesh, pale veins slightly more visible just under the surface. In place of hair, the creature has vine-like tendrils, akin to dreadlocks, more often than not swept back and gathered, allowing for prominent ear-like growths, though even just a quick glance and it can be seen they are purely for decoration. A pair of jet-black eyes are set into the being's face like a pair of highly polished stones, between which is little more than a ridge, serving as an approximation of a nose.
