• Description

  A large male bear dressed in the robes of a practiced wizard and a brown pointy hat, in hand he carries a gnarled oak staff that in a pair of smaller hands might be considered a great club. His thick black and grey fur shines in the sunlight and his thick burgundy beard and hair are long and thick and some would say they have seen a robin or a squirrel nesting in it but how could that be? his hair and beard are quite clean.
  
  You will know him by his strong hands and his jolly laugh.

• Biography

  Born to a logger and his lovely wife he grew up around strong males doing handwork, he knew the value of the sweat on his brow before he had grown his fist beard hair. Until one day a cart came to town with an old tortoise in odd robes carrying a stick. He would offer magical remedies and bits and bobbles that did small tricks.
  
  A young Thoven was amazed at the tricks and wished to know more. He spoke to the old Tortoise who was quite humble and he said "My boy my boy what I know is but little for my old age it takes a lot more then spells and a funny hat and robe to be a wizard, but its a start." The tortise gave him a parchment with the directions to the capital city were the mages would meet every new moon to discuss arcane goings on and to take new apprentices.
  
  Having a thirst to know more of the world his father and mother hesitantly let him go, he was a strong boy and would be safe on the road as he had nothing truly to steal, oh my how they were wrong...
  
  Three days on the road without any danger he found him self awoken by the prodding of a boot and three faces looking down at him in green and black robes. "Whats this then? sleepin on my property?!" Said the strangest face of the tree a cat with no fur. "Thats tresspassin that is!" Said the second strangest face a dog pug by the looks of it with big ol bulgy eyes. The last face spoke. "Well what do you have to say for your self?" A female iguana missing an eye.
  
  Thoven taken aback as he had slept just under a willow near a pond beside the old kings road and now found him self laying behind a fence. "I uh I did not lay down here I was beisde the kings road!"
  
  "Sure sure" Said the pug argumentatively.
  The cat spoke next. "you must pay for your trespass and must cut the wood for my fire enough for four months." This would be no problem for Thoven he could do it he knew how to cut wood it was all he had ever been taught to do other then some reading and writing a bit of sums from his mother.
  
  "No problem sir that is no issue if you hand me an axe I will get straight to it sir." Said thoven.
  The pug taken aback by this request of an axe. "AN AXE? AN AXE? why would we give you that you would split our skulls in our sleep and just take off right as rain!"
  
  Thoven had never harmed a soul in all few of his days upon this earth. "I would do no such thing why would I? I have done you a wrong and I will fix that wrong by the request made of me sir."
  
  The Iguana hissed out. "you will do this task but only in the daylight hours and we will give you your tool but one of us will always be watching you to make sure we are not slain, for if you attempt to kill one of us a terrible curse will be upon you."
  
  And so Thoven was set to work and cut wood at remarkable speed faster then either of the three odd robed people could ever have imagined. By the end of the first day as the sun went down he had just about half of the wood stacked against the house to dry and ready to be used as firewood.
  
  Thoven returned the axe as he was bade resting it on the porch and stood and looked at the three odd robed figured who were almost enraged at the swiftness he had taken their task. "No no no you stacked it all wrong!" One said "It was magic how he cut it all so fast that is against the rules!" The cat spoke last. "It was no magic but strong arms, I should have asked for more." They retired into their home and Thoven laid were he had been found underneath a willow.
