About Thorgrim
Thorgrim has a very deep sense of guilt for what happened to his wife and unborn child for multiple reasons. He did not love his wife in the romantic sense, but they had forged a deep friendship over the time they were forced to be together and she was a good woman. They fought often, and they fought hard - the woman being an even match for his temper. Kata was unhappy, mostly due to Thorgrim's disinterest in her, and often said so. It was after a particularly nasty fight that the attack came forth and Thorgrim was nowhere to be found, thus leaving his wife unprotected. He blames himself for her unhappiness, the fight, and ultimately her death. This has shaped the way he views the world significantly. He has taken great strides to keep his anger in check, and usually does pretty well. Usually.

It is rare to hear him speak many words in a period of time. The adage "Better to be thought a fool than to open your mouth and remove all doubt" is one that he has taken to heart. Thorgrim often says nothing unless he feels he has something worthwhile to say when in any kind of group setting, often making him seem to be a slow man. Or a recluse. Truth be told, while poorly educated, he is a very intelligent man and tries to see things from many different angles. It is difficult to get him to judge someone as he is more likely to want to try and understand them and their reasoning. However, that does not mean he will always agree (he rarely does) and he is a man of traditions at heart.

He is very passionate about things he feels strongly for and can be very forceful of his views at times even if he tries to understand others. He is loyal to his ideals, his family, and those he care about fiercely and would put himself on the line for any of them though he has seen no actual battle in his life.

Thorgrim is damn good with a spear and can hunt with the best of them. He has scars littering his hands, arms, stomach and legs from boars he's hunted as well as his work on the farm with equipment and animals who had too bad an attitude. Definitely not afraid of hard work, and feels useless if he is not up before the sun.

There is very little that the man is prideful of, but he does know how to brew some mean mead and ale.
