• Description

  The 'dragontaur' is what the ancient Mayans referred to as a vision serpent. They thought the beast was a dragon with either two heads or a god emerging from its jaws. In reality, the dragon's body had a man's top half for a head. A humanlike chest and torso grows out of the serpentine dragon's shoulders and has its own set of arms. The dragon body is long and twisting, covered in hard scales and fur with four legs and a tail which splits at the end. Vavrecan is young for his race and his humanish face has slanted, almond shaped eyes with lime green iris' and split pupils. His skin is silver with dappling of white and blue hues and some shining scales like a fish's. Silky fur hangs off his spine and elbows.

• Biography

  Vavrecan was born in Belize and has traveled in his life. He loves dense forests and Mayan ruins, reveling in the culture that used to worship his kind. He delights in flying through the forests and climbing thick tree trunks up through the canopy, rousing all the birds to flight. He especially enjoys scaring the natives and tourists, though the native people are less likely to be scared as in awe of him.
  
  Vav's kind is dwindling, losing power over the centuries from lack of worship. He's ably to fly without wing and do a tiny bit of magic where his ancestors could do tons more. He's lost his color as well; the mayan dragon serpents of old used to be extravagant colors with feathers and decked in jewelry. Without worship, his scales have faded to the silvery color they are now. Perhaps if he gained a base in religion his colors could come back in splashes.
