• Biography

  Born as a twin in Russia’s Siberia, Vorona’s family was very poor. His entire childhood could easily be summed up as bleak, colourless, and dangerous. It didn’t take long before his beloved sister was swept away into the slave market, leaving him and his mother to tend to his father and the man’s declining health. When he eventually passed away, his grief stricken mother soon tried to not only take her own life, but her son’s as well. Supposedly as a mercy killing. Vorona, though ultimately injured by his mothers attempts, managed to escape her, eventually returning home to find only her corps greeting him. Enraged by the dark turns his life had taken, he devoted his future to survival and to reuniting himself once again with his twin sister.
  
  He fell quickly into bad crowds, did horrible things in the name of self-preservation - theft, prostitution, betrayal, murder - until one day he found himself in a situation he couldn’t get himself out of. Often though his travels, he was sought after for his flawless white coat, his more feminine features, and his dazzling silver eyes. Up to that point, he had managed to evade the black market, which had always had it’s grizzly paws reaching out for him. He prided himself as quite the escape artist, considering how hard some crowds tried to get him into their cages - or their beds. This time, he was not so lucky. For months, he found himself passed off to the highest bidder, and as he found himself rapped, beaten, and shamed again and again, his anger only grew when he remembered that his dear sister had gone though the same things.
  
  When he first met Andrei l’Voirol, his intent was to slit his feathery throat, as he’d done to two other of his ‘suitors’. It came as quite the surprise to Vorona when the man brought him to France and simply… Let him go. He, of course, questioned Monsieur Butt-feathers - finding out that, he two, used to be a slave that was saved by a kindly old fox some years ago. Since his rescue, he’d vowed to do the same for others like him. With this knowledge, Vorona couldn’t pass up the chance he’d needed all his life. With the help of Andrei, they eventually located his dear sister, Varona, and brought her back to France. Now they all live quite happily amongst one another. Vorona often travels, having grown a taste for it after his life on the run. He’s quite a talented artist, and so often sells the sketches and paintings he makes along his way. His beloved sister decided to stay with Andrei in France and run a flower shop, while Andrei continued along with his silent goal to free as many slaves as he could in his lifetime.
