At further inspection
Xelba usually seems few years younger than she is because of her happy smile and carefree attitude. But when she turns serious, difference is so big that she even seems older, maybe 19. But, actually, she is quite normal 17 years old in her appearance.
Because of her powers, only few knows the real color of her hair and eyes, which, as far as I know is dark. She had been seen with red, green, blond and even rainbow colored hair but it is very rare that she chooses some dark color, like black.
Usually her hair is some tone of pink or purple, brightness and intensity of it depending on her mood. Most commonly it is pale pink or purple with silvery tint, rosy pink or darker, pink-purple mix. She likes to keep her hair long, reaching her waist, and flowing. Bangs around her face and on forehead is cut slightly shorter, though. Sometimes she ties them up with pink ribbon and often places flowers and flower crowns in her hair. There have been times when she has cut them shoulder length.
Her eyes changes color often as well but mostly they are light blue or pinkish purple. They are always wide open, looking around curiously, as if she wouldn't want to miss even smallest thing happening around her. It is rare when they lose the happiness and curiosity sparks and when they do, no matter what color it is, they seem to darken visibly, as if someone had blown out a candle within.
Because of her well-hidden sickness, she is frail girl, with long, yet not ugly looking, limbs and slim form. She is not very pale but her cheeks often are flushed, as it sometimes happens with fevered people. But usually it is seems that it because she is always running and in move - she truly hates to sit still.
She is not very picky about her clothes, though, and even if she likes to wear dresses, she will be pleased with usual set of traveler clothes as well. If it is pink, purple or white, her joy will be even grater because those are her favorite colors.
Even if she knows meaning of word "shy" she rarely remembers it and can talk with anyone, as long as that person had caught her interest. She is very curious and if she will see that you're troubled, she will do practically anything to find out what's wrong and solve it after that - she is very helpful. She hates sadness and tears, being absolutely sure that life is too short to drown it in despair and sorrow. Xelba is sure no one is completely evil... Or good. And she likes to find things good in people who seems absolutely evil and cruel, though, mostly she has never and, hopefully, will never meet them.
As a very hyper teen, she can stay up for many hours and won't get tired. But when she gets tired, it is as if her whole energy left her, and she can just sit down and fall asleep, on the spot. As very optimistic girl, she believes there is good solution for everything and it will come in the right moment - people just need to be patient. She her self doesn't have much of this trait, though, she won't complain for too much. She likes to have her way, though, and can be cunning and sneaky to get what she wants. Sometimes she is very childish and will refuse to accept most obvious truth, especially, if it is something about future or people she cares about.
She is very open to people and will say what she thinks openly, except for her deepest sadness and fears - those she keeps locked away from everybody. She always tries to do the best she can and if she fails, she is very embarrassed but will give up after only five or so more tries. And she will be very upset if her straightforward attitude hurts someone and will surely apologize.
Xelba is very romantic and likes to see love in places it simply can't be. And she likes to play matchmaker. But whatever she does, she has not thought of her own romantic adventures because does not want to leave a broken hearted boy here when she dies. So, whenever she starts to like a guy, she starts to avoid him and soon leaves that place, so neither of them would grow too attached and the disaster wouldn't happen. Unfortunately, two times she understood her feelings too late and ended up very heartbroken.
She ignores her illness quite much and always keep smiling but is very hard and there is times when she becomes very sad and quiet, thinking a lot about death and how sad her family will be without her... She does not want to die or be ill, so, actually, this carefree attitude is almost like protection of her own future.
She can be very serious sometimes, just like we all, but it usually doesn't last long because she figures out how to fix the thing that has made her serious and sad. Only exception is death - that can make her depressed for weeks.
Sometimes, she is very hard to bear and understand but overall she is great, trusting friend to almost everyone which has caused her quite a deal of pain, because people like to betray and hurt children like her. Sometimes a bit clumsy, she tends to get in lot of troubles but has learned how to get out of them with smile and worry-ignoring attitude.
Xelba was born in a well known family, rumored to even be connected to royal line. Only daughter and child, her mother tries to never take an eye off of her while father is away, polishing family's name. He returns just now and then to get more money from his wife, the one put away as Xelba's dowry. Most people she knows are her friends, some cousins are quite close to her, but in general, she feels it's just her and mom often, even though it's hard to tell.
Until she finds the animal that calls out as her 'soul one', she is unable to truly shape shift. She plays music instruments some, draws a little, but rarely has patience to sit and finish anything. The girl feels she has a sister, imagines spending time with her and underneath all hyper attitude, holds a melancholy nature which is most expressed when she speak about this non-existent sister.
