• To a black father and a white mother, Aubrey grew up in the southside of Chicago with a younger sister who he was rarely able to take care of due to school and a part time job directly afterwards everyday. Of course, up until he was 14 he couldn’t have a job, but he was always outside of the apartment doing something so he didn’t have much time to be with his family. Other than hanging out with friends in his free time, he had earbuds in. People questioned why he always listened to music wherever he was, they say it’s unhealthy and not good for you, but his response was always that you can learn something. You can be taken somewhere else and not have to worry about your real life surroundings. He was one of those people who broke down each lyric and song and try to find out a meaning, figure out theories, that kind of stuff. Although, he had his times where he just relaxed and enjoyed the tune. He was the kind of guy who minded his own business and learned to not be nosy and treat everyone how you want to be treated. He was always sympathetic, kind, caring, helping, the list goes on. However, when he was in school was a different story. Despite doing all his work, he was always a class clown and disrespected everyone who didn’t like him and always wanted his way and be the center of attention. Even though he was considered a bully, he had bullies of his own, and wasn’t so tough after all when he encountered any of them. You’d see him a lot with bruises and scratches and yet he’d never show a single tear. Only when he was completely isolated where no one can judge him.
• Aubrey got the nickname “Tangerine” because of his last name, Tachibana. It’s Japanese and that’s how it’s translated. Funny enough, it’s neither of his parents’ surnames. They thought the name Aubrey didn’t go well with the surname they had, so they picked Tachibana, and he himself is quite fond of it. It has a nice ring to it and it sounds peaceful. The only part of his name he doesn’t like is, well, Aubrey. It’s too much of a girly name in his opinion even though he knows there are other guys with that name. He was made fun of for it a lot, too. He acted as if he didn’t care one bit but he really did. He’s complained to his parents before about how he’s been treated and they only told him to deal with it and be the bigger man. He always took that the wrong way and thought they were telling him they didn’t care and he can’t do anything about it. So, he let himself be beat up and have trash talked about him. He’d be as mean as can be back. However he made sure he set a perfect example for his sister, Saviana Grace, who’s now 9, so she could be as innocent and pure and nice as possible. Though sometimes she’d hear him send threats to someone and curse them out but she’d never tell and would only laugh about it. She was one of the only people who knew when Aubrey wasn’t feeling how he said he was, she was one of the only ones who understood him, she was one of the only ones who genuinely cared about him and would talk to him 24/7. He loves her more than anyone else and would do anything for her. Because he’s her big brother figure, he’s overprotective for those he cares about. He always felt like he could save someone else from danger despite bringing himself into it. He also has a twin brother, Steph, who’s also someone he goes to, although he’s in college so there’s not much bonding time these two have. Aubrey and Steph Tachibana are twin brothers, although were born about 10 seconds apart. Steph is younger. They’re about the same height and have very similar features, being identical twins. It has its perks such as you can confuse everyone and laugh your ass off, you can pull pranks or do something bad and blame each other, to these two it’s the best thing ever. Despite their similarities, they have their differences. How? Personality wise. Steph is definitely more mature, the messiest, not the smartest but the most clever and wise. When Aub needs help he goes to him. If he as a secret he tells him if he wants. He trusts him with just about everything. Though, not when it comes to relationships. One time, Aubrey’s girlfriend-at-the-time was over and Steph decided he was going to snatch her up. So, the moral of that story is, don’t make sure your brother is around when you have company. Other than that little incident, they absolutely love each other and are possibly the funniest and most fun pair you could ever meet.
• Aubrey spreads around, he’s one of the most popular guys in the school. He doesn’t see it as that, though. He just sees himself as someone who’s known by a lot of people. Ignoring everything bad he’s done, he’s a good guy, he’s really nice for the most part and likes to be helpful. He focuses a lot on his schoolwork and likes to do research on his own about topics he’s interested in. He’s a guy who studies a shit ton before every test, he always does what he’s supposed to and beyond, he always tries to make everybody happy including himself. He’ll go to parties, participate in clubs and activities, go to bars, everything your normal teenager or adult does he does. Sometimes he gets carried away and doesn’t pay attention to the consequences, but a good bunch of the time he does and tries to avoid anything negative and doesn’t care that he seems like a pussy because of that. If you ask him, he’ll say he’s a fun guy. He enjoys being social and making friends. He also enjoys watching those he dislikes get upset, but that’s besides the point. He doesn’t like being mean but he will be if necessary. Aubrey’s soft and sensitive side can be shown often depending on the situation. He also has a big feminine being that he tries not to portray too often, such as wearing any type of girl’s clothes and doing girly things and such like that. People say that’s his “gay” side. They can piss off because he’s not gay...okay maybe a bit. But shut up. His sensitive part includes being super emotional for no reason and crying over nothing or the littlest things and getting offended by something that’s said to someone or something that doesn’t involve him.
