• Personality

  Rein's personality is a strange one, due to her rather huge fear of being left in the darkness by herself she is extremely apprehensive and overall insecure. However, over the years she has learn to conceal these feelings through putting on a façade of being "strong" and confident. Certain events will trigger her true personality such as stressful situations that she believes she cannot handle (in both terms of violence and romance). She is quick to put her trust into someone, but also quick to lose it as well. It's hard to regain this trust once you've lose it, but it isn't something you can count your luck on. As far a relationships go, Rein is very...inexperienced. She doesn't know how to handle them thus she turns herself away from possible love interests in that sense. She's slowly learning to open up to romance, however. When it comes to fighting, Rein is quick to dive in to battle if she's protecting a person she cares for. Due to being quite the studious type in her younger years, her intellect is rather excellent and she can coordinate attacks quickly. While she can generally control her powers very well, in the case she has completely lost all emotional stability she loses controls over her powers as well and this can have some rather gruesome or disastrous after effects.

• Biography

  Rein was born in Winchester, England as a Barghest -- a legendary black canine known as a death omen to those who laid their eyes on it. While her species was very limited, there were still few spread throughout Europe. Her mother frequented the area while her father traveled all the way from a distant Greece in order to mate. Her memory of her parents are nearly non-existent as she did not require the same care as regular canines had. She did not have to worry about being killed, nor did she have to feed unless she desired it. While she slowly aged, she silently observed the humans of Winchester from afar, not to bring herself into eye-sight in fear of accidentally killing. Her behavior was unusual for a Barghest, most who only wished to live in solitude unless they were on the task to kill.
  
  One fateful day, Rein had been traveling throughout the nearby forest only to cross paths with a young man. As soon as his eyes glanced over her he dropped dead on the spot, It had just so happened that he was the son of an elderly witch who was not but a few meters before her child. Seeing the corpse of her beloved son, the witch filled with rage set a curse upon the Barghest. One that not only would limit her deathly powers, but change her form as well. Knocked unconscious by this blow, Rein had not awoke but hours later in a body not of her own. Shocked as she gazed down at five-fingered hands, the Barghest began to weep, something one of her species never could do. She felt fear, and panic; human feelings. She could not disappear into the veil as she could before, she could not run from human eyes, she could not simply run further into the deep brush into safe hiding. Her body crumbled against the soil as she wailed out in despair.
  
  It was not before long a small group of hunters traveling in the forest stumbled upon the nude girl. When she was approached she whimpered and growled, but also found herself surprised that the men did not die as soon as they laid eyes on her. They questioned her, however when she opened her mouth she could not reply, she could not speak the language of these humans. Looking toward her kindly, one walked up to the girl and cloaked her, as she protested he simply picked her up. He announced to the other he would take the strange girl back to his home and wife, and figure out what exactly to do with her.
  
  When he brought her home and given proper clothing, the man and his wife agreed to raise the girl. At least until she was ready to go out into public on her own. Months passed and slowly Rein would respond to their attempts to nurture and raise her. She was not stupid, but her inability to properly communicate made it difficult for her to seem "human". Slowly they worked with her to teach her English, and after a year passed she could speak nearly fluent. As years passed her adoptive parents aged, while she aged far more slowly, if barely at all.
  
  As she matured and became more human-minded Rein left the home to visit the nearby city ever so often, practicing her English and conversational skills. Finally, one day, her "parents" had given her the option to leave and freely roam as she pleased, believing she was finally ready. Hesitantly she took up the offer and left her human home. Weeks later she made her home in London, England, and has since adapted and assimilated into human-kind. She currently shares an apartment with two others of supernatural backgrounds and works as a hostess at a small "special-interest" cafe.
