• Basic Description

  Jace is the pact partner of Skvanda, and her sole companion.
  
  Jace is a fairly nondescript Caucasian male, having grown up in North America and his family line hailing from numerous portions of western Europe. He's thin, lithe, and fairly broad of shoulder. Jace likes to keep the stubble on his face a little long, believing it gives his face definition. Same goes for his hair, which he keeps a little past shoulder length.
  
  Jace attempts to dress himself in a stand apart fashion, favoring vests as a form of accent for whatever he's wearing. He normally dresses in a plain button down shirt, and dark pants to off-set the normally lighter colored shirt against the dark vest. He also frequently wears a fedora hat, normally possessing one of Skvanda's shed feathers in the brim. As far as accessories, Jace is never without his Pact-tool, his wallet chain, and a young women's high school ring that he wears around his neck on a simple beaded chain.

• Personality

  Jace is a frequently lonely person. His family was frequently moving around when he was a child, retarding many of the social skills he would generally learn as a young child. He made the pact with Skvanda when she was young as well, and they two have been near inseparable friends since.
  
  Jace is sometimes seen as a little too cold, and seems to want to keep people at a distance. And yet, when interacting with his monster, he's very warm and brotherly. This might be due to a distrust of others, or a disconnection from normal people. However, at the same time, Jace is frequently protective of others, often to a meddlesome degree.
  
  In conflict, Jace's coldness comes out harder than ever, resulting in a lack of pity or sympathy for the opposing force. But even this coldness breaks down before fits of boiling anger at points when Jace is backed into a corner.

• Background History

  As noted above, Jace was a member of a roving family, thanks to the fluid nature of his mother and father's business ventures. They were also not the wealthiest of families, with very little in way of personal possessions. This made it very difficult for a young Jace to make friends and feel connected to anything larger than the apartment they happened to live in for a year at a time.
  
  Jace made the pact with his monster when the two of them where similar ages, Jace making the pact out of desperate desire for a friend, and Skvanda has served him in this regard quite well. She was his constant companion and only confidante. The two fostering an intense loyalty to one another.
  
  Jace's family finally settled down when he was sixteen, and it was then that Jace met his first love Iris. This budding relationship caused a little tension between Skvanda and Jace, but the relationship was ultimately to end in tragedy. Jace still wears Iris's class ring around his neck as a momento.
  
  Now that he and Skvanda are fully grown, Jace is living up to his end of the bargain, helping his friend travel from place to place, world to world, and gathering pieces of the long shattered Key.
