• Personality/Appearance

  Kristofer the Happy is a strange man with a light-hearted, albeit twisted sense of humor who appears to be always smiling, even in battle. He is often the joker and speaker in his leidang and generally shows no fear or worry at all, even when faced with terrible danger. He is someone of humble authority who is good at boosting morale and rallying his men in combat, laughing and hurling insults at his enemies. Kristofer is regarded as a fierce fighter and a warrior of high repute. He is never first to speak, but never the last to stand up. He is considered a devote follower of the fertility god Freyr, and is an overall law-abiding citizen and a gentleman with grace and honor. He loves to drink and dance, and can at times seem rather wildly which is normal.
  
  Kristofer the Happy is neithery rich nor very poor. He is often seen wearing his battle attire and he always has more than one weapon on his person at all times. He has long firey red hair and a short clean kept beard with bright blue eyes that appear unnaturally blue at times, like sapphires in the sunlight. Kristofer is well-educated and can speak foreign languages. This aids in his ability to trade with other cultures. He is often described as tall, strong and handsome but with boyish eyes and cheeks, a gentle but deep poetic voice with a smooth tongue and a fierce gaze with protruding eyebrows.
  
  Kristofer normally wears natural colors such as different shades of green, grey or brown. He typically wears a long sleeved linen shirt with long linen trousers, soft leather boots and wool mittens, a wool shoulder cloak which allows one arm to show, a leather belt, wool socks, and a fur snow cap. In colder season he might wear fur boots and fur gloves, a thick wolf-fur coat or cloak with a wool sash and extra layers of clothing. In battle he paints his face and body with blue woad using vines and tree knotwork designs, sometimes with tribal animal designs such as the wolf, horse, stag or boar. He often will wear a padded leather quilted gambeson under riveted ring-mail tunic, covered by lamellar plate armour. He also wears a typical Vendel-style hornless full nasal-guard metal helmet with attached chainmail face cover. With his full body armour and helmet on, his face cannot be seen and he appears much larger or more robust. As a backup he has a rear-sheath concealed by his cloak where he keeps his bearded axe and his longseax. He has a hip-sheath which exposes his small seax. He also has a sword and shield, which he uses simultaneously in battle.
