• Description

  The man you see is somewhat of a legend among the common people. His hazel eyes and short brown hair look noble, dignified. The man wears a blue tunic under a green vest with a black pair of pants. Attached to his belt is a rapier and a dagger with a pistol holstered on his right hip, and on his feet are two rhino-skin boots. Be it legal or illegal, Captain Antioco Ribelle and his ragtag band of misfits get the job done, and they don't much care what it is.

• Biography

  Antioco Ribelle da Venezia Nuova was born to the original captain of Paradise, Fiore Ribelle da Roma Nuova, a strong woman who trusted only herself and her crew. She serviced a politician in exchange for him pardoning her of all crimes in New Venice. The man never discovered a son was born from the affair.
  
  Fiore raised her son to be as strong willed and charming as she, teaching him everything he needed to know about the world and how to survive in it. She showed him everything from how to gain a woman's affections to the way to hold a sword and throw a knife. Over the next 15 years of his life, Antioco was raised to take his mother's place. She knew that at any time, she could be arrested and sent to live the rest of her life in a cell, and so Antioco was given every possible skill to help keep him out of the law's reach. However, he was informed that, should Fiore die or be captured, not one crew member would stay behind under his command.
  
  When he turned 17, Fiore's fears came true. While docked in the port of New Florence, the police found and arrested her. As soon as the news reached Paradise, each and every crewman left, giving themselves up to the law. For the first time in his 17 years of life, Antioco was alone. He left New Florence and never looked back. For the next 11 years, the lone Captain Ribelle learned the workings of his ship, kept her well maintained, and searched port after port, city after city, for anyone who might want to join him in jobs of a sometimes less than legal nature.
  
  He is now 28, an intelligent, hard working Italian stud who would do anything, dare anything, even risk his own life to see his crew to safety...If he had a crew to speak of.

• About the World

  The tale of Captain Ribelle and Paradise takes place far into Earth's future, a time where the world has become so choked with smog and pollution that the people created a new system. Raising the continents into the sky with new technologies, Earth's populations now live in the clouds. The introduction of airships helped maintain trade and communication, but also allowed for a new breed of criminal; sky pirates.
  
  This is essentially regular Earth, but with the continents now floating in the air and other various technologies reminiscent of steampunk or other such genres. The tech of the old mixed with the new, guns and swords, carriages and airstrikes, x-ray scans at fancy parties and the good ol' fashioned pat down.
