Despite being the result of a one night stand, Waneek never found herself lacking love from either of her parents. In an unorthodox arrangement, Waneek’s parents had decided to live together as roommates, while raising their daughter together.
Waneek thrived as a young girl, and while she wasn’t the most booksmart of kids, it was clear that she had talents in other regards. From a very young age, her father taught her to protect herself and at age 7 she started boxing.
In boxing class she really got to express herself and use all of her pentup energy on something sensible. It quickly had an overall positive effect on her life, causing her to do better in school and generally have a much better focus in her life.
Things came to an end the week after Waneek had turned 18 though.
She and her parents had been preparing for a delayed birthday celebration, but they never showed up to pick her up from boxing practice. She ended up waiting for hours before the hospital finally got though to her and told her that they had both passed away.
Killed in by a ghost driver.
Waneek’s world was turned upside down and not knowing on which foot to stand anymore, she ended up dropping out of school, having gotten into a rather esteemed college on an athletic scholarship, and quitting boxing; instead focusing on getting a job and making sure that she was going to be able to keep the house she grew up in.
