• Description

  From the skies comes the beat of powerful wings, a roar that pierces the sky. The greatest beast to walk the Earth lands, wings furling as he shrinks, gradually becoming a man. At least 9'6" tall, he stands upright, skin tanned dark. His eyes glow gold, and his hair shines like gold in the sun. He is Bahamut, King of Dragons, Lord of the Sky.

• Biography

  Long ago, when the world was new, there existed three siblings of immense power, second only to the gods.
  
  First was Bahamut, Dragon King, Lord of the Skies.
  Second was Firanumis, Worm Queen, Lady of the Earth.
  Third was Leviathan, Serpent King, Lord of the Seas.
  
  Our story focuses on Bahamut, or rather, his son. The Dragon King ruled over a hierarchy, with himself at the top. Going down from there were his mates, then his children beneath them, who made up the race of 'Black' Dragons, named for the color of their scales. Below them were the White Dragons, gifted with the power of Lightning. They guarded the Black Dragons from the other four species, should any attempt to grasp the power of a Black. At the bottom of the short totem pole were the remaining four elemental dragons; Fires/Reds, Waters/Blues, Winds/Greens, and Earths/Browns. They made up the greatest quantity of the dragon kind.
  
  Our story starts over 6000 years ago, when the old Bahamut's children, all 20 of them, competed to earn their place as the next Great Wing. Above all other things, dragons understand power and strength. So naturally, they did the only thing they understood. All twenty Black Dragon children slaughtered each other for the right to their father's position. Among them was Azaras, Bahamut's 13th child and his 4th son. Like his brothers and sisters, he fought desperately to earn what he thought was rightfully his. And he won. He slew every last one of his siblings, consuming their corpses as all dragons do, in order to obtain their power and strength, adding it to his own.
  
  When it was all over, Azaras met his father, and the old dragon gave the young one all the power in him, before slowly turning to stone. That dragon statue remains standing in the deep mountains of the world, hidden from humans.
  
  Azaras, now renamed Bahamut, became the strongest of dragon kind. He enforceed the laws of their kind more thoroughly when humans came to be. And when the strange beings called humans came to realize the existance of dragons, Bahamut made sure his people knew not to harm them, for he foresaw humans would one day dominate the Earth. So for the rest of his life, he would watch over mankind, using his powers to take on a human form and observe them, keeping the fragile creatures safe.
