  ry had a great life when he was little. he had caring and loving parents and a fun, protective older brother. his life went crashing down on his ninth birthday. his parents had left the two boys at home while they went to go pick up the cake and ryan's birthday gift. on their way back they were hit by someone who was texting and driving. ry's mother was killed instantly while his dad died on the way to the hospital. ry and aiden had to go live with their judgemental grandparents who made young ryan feel like everything he did was wrong and made him self conscious. aiden tried his best to stay strong for his little brother and when he turned eighteen he gained legal custody over ry. ry was thankful for this but aiden is constantly working and ry feels bad. it doesn't help that ry gets bullied in school and told everyday that his parents death was all his fault.
