Valens

Valens was born as a bastard. He never met his blood father. His adopted father was rumored to be a powerful man of Jubilee, who took him in and raised the boy as his own. His mother was unknown to him as well and he has not learned of her name even unto this day. His adopted father loved him and took him in to live among his other sons and daughter. When he was of age, Valens trained as a Knight and excelled in this skill; which was a respectful profession for a bastard, since he would not succeed in any noble courts.

He grew up resenting his life, finding it harder socially as a bastard, so he often found himself in wench taverns and drank himself to sleep when he was off duty. His hope was that he would one day die honorably in the field, but each time he returned from battle successful.

Since a kid, Valens has always found a reason to leave his kingdom, or find a worthy death; whether it be hunting a deadly prey, or combating against a fierce opponent. Bravery and fearlessness was what Valens had been appreciated for and in his Kingdom, many respected him even more till this current day.

Eventually he was met with an offer to join a band of elven rangers led by Gweyr Il’yvana of House Harimon. The elf female seemed to care for him more than any did in his homeland and so he left with her and her elven brothers to join the fight against the Orc threat in the Urdu Forest. For a decade he has been with the elves, forgetting his past life. But there was something about the elf culture that intrigued him. He found himself speaking the tongue of the Tel’Quessir quite fluently. Through the years he had become like one of them. A ranger that defended the forest and called the Glades his home.
