• Biography

  Idara, originally born Ikari, had bioligical parents that demanded the best from him. He was expected to become a pro league duelist as young as possible. His parents tossed him around to be trained by pro league duelists, but when they noticed his skills weren't improving he'd be moved to another one.
  
  Tired of never improving, and feeling completely useless, Idara ran off. He was challenged to a duel by a card thief, who planned to take the boy's cards. Quickly losing, Idara couldn't see a way out. Coming to the rescue was Jun Manjoume, who took over the duel for Idara and defeated the card thief.
  
  Idara's parents soon found him and tried to scold their son. Manjoume came to Idara's defense and told off the boy's parents. Realizing who he was, someone in business with the famous Edo Phoenix, Idara's parents tried to get Manjoume make Idara a pupil of Edo's. Manjoume, already knowing Edo didn't take in students, but wanting to help Idara, refused and offered to teach Idara himself. Idara happily wanted to become Manjoume's student and , shockingly, his parent allowed it, but only if Manjoume would take Idara to raise as his own, his parents deciding to not want Idara anymore. Feeling a similar connection to Idara, Manjoume took the boy under his wing and raised Idara like his son.
  
  Idara grew up close to Edo Phoenix's son, Meiji Phoenix, as best friends. Under Manjoume's tutelage, Idara became an excellent duelist, but still nowhere near close enough to successfully go pro.
  
  Manjoume suggested Idara attend Duel Academy once he turned fourteen, so Idara took the entrance exam and was ecstatic to know he passed. Although the excitement died down when learning he'd only be a Ra Yellow, and not an Obelisk Blue like he wanted. Manjoume assured Idara that his dorm rank didn't matter, as long as he did his best. Idara fiened acceptance, but was still disappointed in himself.
  
  Upon leaving for Duel Academy, Idara learned Meiji snuck on the boat to attend the academy despite not being allowed to go.
