• Basic Appearance

  They are fairly tall, hitting at almost exactly six feet and almost awkwardly thin, seemingly unable to gain any substantial amount of weight. Their hair is typically kept at shoulder length and then pulled into a ponytail, it is dyed primarily green with pink highlights. They are Polynesian, with medium dark skin, very deep brown eyes, and a natural curl to their hair. They have traditional Tā moko on their left arm and a more modern stylization on their right wrist. Their face is fine boned, fitting their thin frame. They have a slight gap between their front upper teeth and a chip from their street years. They typically stick to wearing "mom jeans", loafers, and plain t-shirts (think Chris Pine's more casual "dad fashion"). They have a strange ability to end up with any shirt inside out. They keep a penny in their pocket at all times for luck.

• Basic Personality

  Kori is skittish and timid after their years on the street at the mercy of others. As time has passed, they have grown stronger in their opinions and ability to state their opinion and desires, but it has been a tedious process with much backstepping. If they feel cornered and more connected to their rough backstory, they may lash out verbally or physically, although their hesitance to make substantial physical contact makes it difficult to defend themselves before things get out of hand. They try their best to remain, mostly, invisible and out of the eyes of the authority and those who look dangerous. They maintain a lot of their earned mannerisms even in later life.

• Basic Backstory

  Kori, chosen as a reference to the Māori name Kauri, was raised in a middle-class family in Georgia, in the United States. They lived with their accommodating but distant parents, one younger brother, and an older cousin. In high school, they began to participate in the school's Gay-Straight Alliance, under the guise of Film Club. This continued until their junior year as they explored more and more, discovering that they were feminine-genderqueer and, for lack of a better word, straight. Life was good, although they had to hide who they were from their parents. And then their cousin, a senior at the same school, brought home the yearbook. Between Kori mistakenly being included and their cousin slipping and using their true name in front of their parents, their parents grilled them until they admitted, uncomfortably, their involvement in the club. Tensions within the house grew thicker until, at the end of junior year, they were officially kicked onto the streets. They dropped high school in order to try and hold odd jobs here and there to survive.
  At age 24, after a long six years on the street and finally managing to rent a small apartment, they signed with the military for an experimental cryogenics and enhancement program. They were woken approximately two hundred years i and have spent eight years in this new world, moving forward and learning. They are now well accustomed, serving with the expansion of the military as part of the terms. Their contract is nearly over.
