  Daughter of Aramil, the leader of the Fey Children, a ruthless banditclan, Aleara was raised to steal, kill and pillage. She learned these skills from her father. Her mother Valenae, who used to be a soldier in the Eladrin army, had a different vision though. She believed in battle only if it was with honor. This is why Aleara never really agreed with the bloodthirsty ways of her father but she had no choice but to oblige to his bidding as a child.
  However one day, during one of the countless raids, some of the local villagers stood up to her father. As a message to all the people her father herded all the children of the small village into the local school, locked them in and torched the building. He wanted to let everybody know, he would not be trifled with. Alaera stood there silently and watched her father massacre the dozens of children, some no older than herself. She just watched in agony but could not utter her objections as she was perplexed by the brutality of her own father. It was on that day that she decided that if she could not use her voice to prevent such horrors, she would never use it again. As her father was laughing at the screams coming from the blazing building Aleara made a run for it. She ran into the woods were thanks to her mothers training, she knew she could never be found.
  Many years passed in the wilderness, most of which were spent trying to find a way to stop her father. She would have to kill him, as he would never stop as long as he had a living breath. As she grew older, she devised a plan to kill him in his sleep. This was not the way her mother would deal with this since she believed only in fighting with honor but it was the only way.
  One stormy night though, Aleara was woken by a voice that echoed through the rain. The voice was the voice of Kord, the god of honorful battle. He had gained knowledge of Aleara's plan and did not agree with it. He told her that she should hold on to her mother's teachings of valor. Alaera tried explaining that her father would never agree to a fair duel and Kord agreed. He made Aleara an offer. He would help her in battle as long as it was honorful, and as long as she kept to her mother's teachings. She had to grow stronger through glorious battle and in time he would grant her her fair duel with her father. Alaera agreed and headed towards the city.
  On her way though she saw a fellow elf in the middle of the woods. He was a strange elf however. He had black hair which was something she had never before seen. The elf was unconscious and had a distinctive smokey smell. She decided that her plans would have to wait as the strange elf needed help.
