    1/7/21 - Refreshing a rather rank possum! Still looking for any artists who might want to draw his scrawny grump bastard self though.

    • Hair Color: Ink Black

    • Fur: Mottled grey with white muzzle and black glove markings and ears, pink furless fingers and eartips
    • Distinguishing marks: Cut out of left ear, three close claw markings on the right side of his muzzle.

  • Untapped Potential

      • It's what he does, and though he's no master thief he does it pretty well. Most of his youth was spent on petty crimes. Picking pockets and breaking and entering, pinching valuables here and there and living off what he could pawn them for. His tail's as deft as his fingers when it comes to the work, able to snatch a purse or help with picking a lock. It helps a fair bit with his balance too, and he's got some practice at second story work, though he usually wasn't bold enough to hit real difficult targets when he could live off the easy jobs. He's practiced enough it's practically instinct for him to size up targets and plan out simple jobs, but he's not fool enough to try and put his skills to use in his new life now behind bars. There's no profit in coin when there's nowhere you can spend it. His talents could definitely be honed further or simply put to use, though he still doggedly maintains his innocence of any crimes he's committed. After all, he may already have been caught, but he still isn't sure who he can trust.

      • Surprisingly for his gutter speech and far from exemplary upbringing, the kids actually rather bright. He doesn't know his letters but he's self taught in numbers and is actually quite quick with them, including more complicated work like compounded interest... certainly that was something he picked up to watch out for other lowlifes' scams, but he has a surprisingly sharp intellect all the same. He's just never had much chance to put it to much advantage before in life, living penniless on the streets there wasn't any kind of respectable work to have even for a sharp one. There's certainly a lot of room for him to learn more, he's a quick study and rather eager to pick up new things when he can. Part of being a bright one is knowing that learning is the quickest way to new opportunities.

      • Tripps has no idea he has latent magical aptitude. It's not all that impressive, he's not some genius untapped wunderkind or anything, but subconsciously he's already been applying his magical talents in his criminal work. Tripps mostly has two talents he uses without realizing it. The first, and most common, is sensing the presence of magic itself. Whether in magical beings, objects, or areas, he gets a sense for things. Usually when it comes to people, he assumes it's just getting a bad feel for them, and often treats magical beings warily because of it. For objects, he often just interpreted it as getting a good feeling about something to pawn, figuring it would be worth a lot of money. Considering he's used to relying on his instincts, he just chalks up those feelings to that. His only other talent is a very limited ability to blend into shadow, since he's already hiding anyway he has never noticed that his intent to make himself be just a little less visible has paid off in more supernatural ways. While his potential may not be enough to make him so great sorcerer, he could certainly pick up a few more tricks with some proper schooling... or a bit of luck.
