• Outrunning Karma

  

  Bishop has no memory of her past or who she used to be. Sometimes flashes of fragmented memories burst into her mind in moments of clarity but she forgets them soon after only retaining bits of information. This started one day, seemingly randomly to her, she woke up in a foreign place with only a handful of memories. She's 24, not human (what exactly escapes her), and needs to run.
  
  What she's running from she doesn't know. But there's a sense of urgency every time she stops for a bit screaming in the back of her mind. Keep going. It's not safe. Move, move, move! She wasn't even sure of her name when she awoke and settled on Bishop Highgazer. A name she saw when scanning a book in the room she woke up in. An old legend not many know anymore. Confused and scared she made her way out onto the street. Dazzled by the lights and sounds and sensations of a festival parading through the streets.
  
  It was then she decided to learn to be a bard. A charming profession boosted by whatever magic she had within. Not caring where it comes from she just accepted she can't control it. It appears and disappears at it's own will and she's learned to work around it.
  
  Even with no memories of who she was she feels the weight of past sins holding her down. Only made worse by the fact she doesn't know what those sins were so she can't repent for them. She can't make it up to whoever she wronged because she doesn't know who it is. Learning to push it back further and further the voice hissing about how bad she is finally is hushed to a whisper. Bishop had learned to just live with it in the back of her mind and keeps going on. Bouncing from city to city in search of work. Adventuring parties, one time jobs, things like of that sort that will get her enough coin.

• Such A Charmer

  On the outside Bishop seems like she has it together. As much as she can. She has a grasp on who she is as of now and where she fits in the world. But she hardly actually knows what's happening around her. The news of wars slip right past her as she jumps cities, the tell of a new King or Queen skips over her head as she sits in the inn, even in personal situations. She has a terrible grasp on her own feelings and often misinterprets signs from others. Planning is something she rarely does as she finds it more effective to just jump in and hope it works out.
  
  Rushing head first into fights only works when you know how to fight, however. Bishop isn't a fighter she's a bard. Thus her methods of interacting with battle leaves her with injuries constantly. It's believed by her that's why she wears an eye patch but in reality she's never cared enough to check beneath it.
  
  While Bishop does care about others feelings she's bad at it. Often seeing sadness as anger directed at her, or happiness as a mistake. A fluke that won't happen again. Her sleep schedule is terrible and she doesn't know why. She does her best to sleep at a normal time and she does, but she wakes up later than expected and it's always unrestful. She's always tired and exhausted and can never seem to fix it.
