  Amos Bartholomew III was his name, the first child of King Redios Bartholomew II with his only wife, Queen Godiva Lenora. The King couldn't be any more happier, knowing that his first child was a boy, ensuring that he would follow the steps of his family, and continue their bloodline. At a young age, the boy was being taught the noble ways of a true ruler; Politics, the art of war, trading, and such things were part of his teachings until he turned thirteen. The next week after his birthday, Amos learned how to use the sword, bow, and close combat, exceeding in the last one remarkably, leaving ashamed the most experienced soldier of the Castle Guards. Six years later, he began to participate in the war that struck when he was born. Since the South Kingdom was a prosperous land, it had also earnt a few enemies. Campaign after campaign, the soon-to-be-King gained a lot of experience...and scars. One diagonal slash across his back, a thin vertical cut over his left brow and cheekbone, luckily avoiding the loss of his eye thanks to his helmet, and one or another cut over his arms.
  
  King Redios was very proud of his heir, but...that was not the case of his younger brother, Marcus. He was as skilled as his older sibling; perhaps slightly less skilled, but quite a fighter. Thing was, that Marcus was cruel, and his way of thinking was just not right. When Amos turned twenty three, the spies of Marcus told the King and Amos about a small group of rebels that had sneaked into the city, and were trying to reach the Castle. At it, Amos recklessly ran into the city with just twenty of his most loyal of men, just to find that it was a trap from his dear brother. It was NOT a small group. It was a small ARMY. He barely made it out alive. The rebels were anihilated, but so was his group of soldiers, and friends as well. Amos was angry. He wanted answers, although he already knew what his brother wanted. Not only that, but when he reached the Castle, the whole group of soldiers guarding the keep were shocked. Marcus had spreaded the rumors about his brother dying in the battle, and a spy had killed the King, meaning that as the second child, it was his right to take the crown. That was it. Amos didn't wanted answers anymore. He wanted to murder his own brother, and make him pay for his atrocities. Telling the soldiers that he would solve the situation, he ordered to not be interrupted, just to literally throw down the gates that led to the throne room, and see the cold body of his father on the floor, with his brother sitting comfortably on the throne, bloody hands and a disgusting smile telling everyone what was already obvious, but this quickly got whiped when Amos drew his bastard sword out of its sheath, aiming directly at the chest of the madman.
  
  Even so, Marcus managed to dodge the sturdy, deadly blade of his brother, and so the battle began. The clear sound of hot metal clashing filled the room, calling the attention of anyone inside the Castle...like their only sister, Lila, and the Queen. They couldn't believe what they were watching. They didn't even understood what was going on. The Queen rushed to the side of her husband, crying desperatedly over the corpse of the King, while Lila just stood there, past the gates in plain shock. Her family was just perfect. What had gone wrong? Lila was a young, beautiful woman with the same slightly tanned skin tone and dirty blonde hair, those big, gorgeous emerald eyes melting the heart of any man that gazed upon them, but she was also a crude, honest and righteous soon-to-be Council Member. She had learnt how to endure truths like stories of Kingdoms that had fallen by family betrayal, lust, and greed, but...this was just too much for her. Too late she reacted when Marcus, in a desperate attempt to finnish the life of his brother, threw himself withAmos through one of the large windows, aiming to send him down the abbys that surrounded the back of the Castle. Lila ran to the window, just to find her brother, Amos, clinging with just one hand for dear life. Marcus fell down, his bone chilling scream filling the rainy, cold day outside, until it couldn't be heard anymore.
  
  The princess tried to pull up her brother, but this one simply smiled, and told her to rule the Kindom for him. She hadn't noticed it, but Marcus managed to mortally wound Amos over his right flank. He was holding on the window to just tell her that, and after a sorrowful goodbye, Amos released his grip from the window, falling as well into the abbys. He felt himself being egulfed by the darkness, eternally falling in a pit that seemed to have no end, until the brutal land against the surface of an underground lake drew the air out of his lungs, leaving him weak to swim to the shore. Watching the last bubbles of his breath running out from his lips, Amos closed his eyes, surrendering and accepting his fate, feeling colder by the second, and then....nothing. Silence. The young man opened his eyes once again, finding himself resting over the shore of the lake, with a slender female figure kneeling right by his side. The child like humanoid caressed his locks of light brown hair, deeply staring into his eyes with her onyx colored pupils, just to warmly smile at him, and lower down to whisper into his ear a couple of words that send a cold, horrible chill down his spine: "Thou hast been given a second chance. Do not waste it." Simply said the girl, or whatever she was, and with that, she slowly vanished before his eyes. As the time passed, Amos felt the strenght returning to his body, and with a pain filled groan the young mand sat down on the muddy shore, just to stand up and quickly check the wound over his side. It was....healed? It was just a deep scratch by now, but if he remembered correctly, it was a deep stab. Not understanding what was going on, he looked around the place, mainly trying to find an exit, just to find himself surrounded by massive clusters of bioluminescent blue crystals, amazingly big, perhaps the smaller had twelve feet in height! The gaze really was enjoyable to his eyes...until he found Marcus impaled on a thinner one. With extreme effort, Amos took the cold, mutilated body of his brother, just to give it a holy burial ceremony, and let the body sink down in the depths of the underground lake. Sighing and wondering for a last time how he ended up like this, the young man began to walk away from the lake, roaming around to find an exit, and casually look into one of the many mirror like crystals, looking at his own reflection, making his feet to stop on their tracks. His emerald eyes were now brighter. They were literally glowing, and not only that, but he had larger canines. He thought he was a vampire at first...but quickly tasting a drop of his own blood, he realized he wasn't. Smirking and thinking that the past events had messed up his mind, he shrugged the thought out of his tired brain, and began to walk again, with the hopes that everything would be alright.
  
  Now, at the age of twenty six, Amos fled from his country, begining his journey as an explorer, until he found shelter into a guild of explorers and mercenaries. It was far away from his hometown, and no one seemed to know who he really was, wich suited him perfectly. Accepting his new fate, Amos Bartholomew III, the fallen heir of The South Kingdom, was nothing but a humble man, trying to live through life.
