Dalton Pryer

A son of a U.S. Marshal and the daughter of a cattle baron Dalton grew up in the lap of luxury. He became use to the finer things of life and this would continue to play a role in his life as he grew up. Around his 12th birthday his father was killed, butchered and hung up by a local gang in the territory they lived in and the home he lived in with his mother was set on fire. The fire raged on and Dalton pulled his mother from the flames. She didn't live much longer than that and that left him the sole inheritor to his Grandfather's fortune. The government moved him back to live with his grandparents who came down with the flu and passed a few years later. Dalton at 15 was very much on his own at that point and used what was left to him as starting capital to become a professional gambler. His skill in cards grew as did his ability with the gun. Gambling was often as dangerous as law keeping. As his skills continued to grow he moved further West, the idea of seeking out the gang and man who murdered his parents was always in the back of his mind and the scars of the flames they started still burned his arms.

A large gang led by the man they called "General" Bartholomew Winston Graves, they were a terror to Texas and ransacked many a town and city. They bowed the knee to no man and became the law in several other places. This gang of bandits was responsible for the death of the Pryers.

Graves' had 12 underman who served as his officers and they ran a tight ship. They were mean and nasty but organized. This paramilitary caused such a headache for the Federal government that eventually Graves was offered a deal. Break up the Gang, give up the majority of the gang members in exchange for not having to face the force of the U.S. Army and a substantial sum and new life. Graves took the deal and he and some of his officers split off as freemen. The "army" they had built along with a majority of the officers went on to serve jail time but to the public it looked as though Law and Order was brought back. Justice had been served and it sent a message to others who might try and accomplish the same.

Dalton now seeking vengeance hunts after Graves and the twelve officers.
