• Description

  Chel has the look of a college student about her. An adult, but a young one, with a casual manner of dress and similarly relaxed personality, she isn't the sort that would strike anyone as being out of the ordinary. She is in decent shape, as befitting one who works with tools and machinery all day. Her hands are calloused, though she retains deft fingers. She has few signs of any great injuries--perhaps a mark from stitches gained in her childhood, or an unpleasant shock while on the job, and other such mundane misfortunes.
  
  She always looks slightly unkempt, especially in the case of her hair, which is generally pulled back in a messy bun. She is commonly seen in cargo pants and a hoodie, along with work gloves and boots, a tool belt that is all but bursting at the seams with random assorted nonsense, and her favorite striped scarf. She tends to favor colors that won't show stains easily, though she has a liking for greens as well.
  
  Chel always smells faintly of machinery, metal, and the like, even when not actively working. Any creature that can see auras would also note that hers sparks and flares, as if someone had tossed glitter into it.

• History

  For the first couple decades of her life, Chel was a normal person. Went to school, played video games, did stupid stunts on the weekends. Little about her home or upbringing is remarkable.
  
  At some point during her life, in an incident she is reluctant to speak of at best, her perspective of the world shifted dramatically, and with it, she gained her signature ability to reweave the threads of reality. At first she started small, and studied under those with similar abilities, while generally keeping her head down. But the longer she went without getting caught, and the more encouragement she received from her partner-in-crime, the more bold she grew.
  
  Eventually Chel started working on commissions. This gave her both interesting tasks to play with and access to greater resources than doing any sort of mundane work might. In this capacity, she eventually came into contact with the DeSeer matriarch. Though neither could say they trusted the other, they still maintain a good working relationship. Chel is useful to the clan, and the clan has interesting jobs for Chel, and so their on-again off-again partnership persists.
