Clearly spending many days beneath the harsh rays of the sun, this elf holds the bearing of a weathered traveller. He stands lithe and athletic with tanned skin pulled tight across the taut muscles of his frame. Shadowy grey hair falls about his chiselled if somewhat gaunt features masking two pointed elfin ears and framing his vacant and listless pale grey eyes. His chest and shoulders are not overly broad but hold more tone and definition indicate of an active and athletic lifestyle not often seen in common elves living a life of privileged or comfort. His forearms are crisscrossed with a scattering of small pale scars, nicks and burns with hands noting more of the same ending at slightly calloused fingers bearing long blackened, sharpened fingernails. Thin tattoos of greying lines set nautical charts, cartographic markings up his arm with small runic lettering starting at his right wrist workings its way up the arm. He carries himself in an measured yet unassuming manner. Cloaked in an assortment of garments well suited for travel bearing minimal superfluous ornaments. He wears a pair of darkened elven travelling boats and long black pants with a onyx buttoned shirt of silvery-grey spider-silk. His long-sleeves are folded to the elbow and a few buttons sit open at the front. A long dark-indigo cloak is worn primarily over the one shoulder by a silver-pin appearing faintly worn and frayed.

Considered yet decisive would be how Raziel Talith Valsharin describes
himself, measured with an even temperament willing to negotiate on near any
deal to find common ground. He holds no real evil in his heart, but
understands the complexities or the 'grey' of the world. At the days end, he
can only hope to protect himself and those he loves and make an honest living
on the seas. Despite his disciplined elvish ways, he holds something of a
wandering spirit and had never taken the "high" or "pios" road of scholars or
sages in Tandanu. He stands always with a steady hand to set upon a shoulder
or a calm words to offer in a time of need or crisis but bares sharp eyes all
the same ready and prepared to defend his own and the needs of those about
him. His way is through action and not just 'words' to hold a strong measure
of self-reliance and a strong network of friends and business acquaintances.
He holds endless respect for the sea's beauty and fury and while not overly
devout or religious pays homage of the Allandra, the Goddess of Trade.

Raziel is far from naive, and life has well taught him that while one should
in all things hold goodness at heart sometimes you must be a monster to
protect you and your own. He will tear out the heart of anything and anyone
what would try to harm his family and kin.

Your current background is:
Hailing from the Lensmorrian Coasts along its Eastern Beaches Raziel's early
life was one of fine education, wealth and luxury. Born of noble blood as a
Sea Elf he was marked early as a boy in the Elven Circles as possessing a
flair for the arcane he spent most of his childhood with a focus on language,
custom, ship craft and arithmetic studies by night alongside sailing,
navigation and cartography and the art of swordplay by day. Well trained in
statecraft and storm craft Raziel held a successful career as a diplomat for
a number of Tandanu Merchant Houses mapping and establishing many merchant
routs, securing trade negotiations and repelling Antrippan pirates and fiends
of the seas with his crew calling him the Wyvern of the Western Seas. ^
Raziel carried his families name with pride but his swift rise in the Elven
Circles caused much contention and jealousy. Enemies emerged, enemies unknown
and whether through treachery, guile or levied guilt Raziel was accused and
found guilty of both misappropriation of Merchant House Funds & reckless
leadership causing the death of two of his crew. While the punishment was
minor with a demotion and loss of rank and privilege the sea elf grew
indignant and disgusted with the political injustice he saw. Raziel resigned
his formal positions, titles and holdings keeping only his ship the Wyvern's
Wager. He last saw the "Wynvern's Wager" the day he crossed the gangplank
hood raised, wrapped his dark frayed, weather indigo cloak on entering docks
of Gosport leaving the fine elven craft in the care of his two Cousins
Tri'Arn and Arthos.

Raziel Talith Valsharin now searches the lands seeking a new
start and the freedom to fully test his skills and abilities, no longer
constrained and serving the whims of others, no longer bound to their ideals
and overly formal requirements. He aims to amass knowledge and wealth enough
to establish his own Merchant House called 'Valinshar's Vengeance'. To see
trade routes established across land and sea dealing in only the finest of
wines, perfumes, potions, poisons, rare spice, jewels, and arcane trinkets.
Through his success, he aims to see his enemies undone and await an
invitation from Evemeet to meet and discuss trade negotiations. Still at
night Raziel is filled with anger, seeing flashes of his past, of all his
family, friends and holdings taken from him, or of his new efforts wasted his
new friends lost all slipping though his fingers like sand to the mocking
laughter of some unseen, unknown foe.
