    Rue is short and strongly-built from a lot of time outside. She has a slight tan and a lot of freckles and ccan typically be found with an array of scrapes and bruises. Her hair is long and kept in braids. Rue's right arm was amputated from just the elbow down and she sometimes wears a prosthetic.

  • History

    Rue was born as [REDACTED] to a spy and a thief, both expatriate criminals. She was born stateless, never staying in one place for long enough to get settled. With her older brother along for a hectic childhood, the two looked out for each other more often than their parents did. Moving around taught them both unconventional skills and left holes in their education, both knowing enough of a handful of languages to get by, but not enough to be considered fluent. Rue and her brother's father was eventually apprehended and arrested, leaving them to a mother who cared more about furthering her own career and wealth.

    After a string of unsuccessful heists, Rue's mother decided it was better to abandon the children. Rue was left in the United States at 12 years old, knowing little English and separated from her family. She never saw her brother again, but was left with a violent promise from her mother if she ever spoke of her old life. Rue was eventually picked up and put into the foster system, given a new name and life. She never revealed anything about her family and other than flitting from home to home, her life was relatively normal. She aged out of the system with a number of misdemeanor charges behind her and squeaked by into university on a scholarship. While she pursues a degree in athletics, Rue stays completely unaware of wheels turning in her past. Despite her settling in to a new life, her family doesn't. Eventually, trouble will catch up to her.
