Personality: Summer is the consummate small town girl that dreams of more. She just doesn't know how to go about getting it. She's hardworking, lively and funny, with a dash of mystery, like all the Durant girls. She finds it very hard to say no to people, often leading to her overextending herself and becoming stressed. On the other hand, she has no trouble standing up for herself if she feels people are trying to bully her or take advantage of her (or others). Paradoxically, she loves her home and her family, but can't wait to get as far from them as possible. She dreams of starting a new life somewhere but can never seem to decide where or what she wants to do that doesn't involve feeding the livestock and bringing in the harvest. As such, she's tried many things over the years (Art, Music, Theater, Stand up Comedy, As well as working for or at least helping out on the job just about everyone in their small town from the baker to the butcher to the mechanic) turning herself into an artistic and vocational jack of all trades. Nothing's really stuck though. Except her. She feels stuck and listless while at the same time safe and loved. The dichotomy tears at her and this will occasionally cause her to drift into temporary bouts of depression.
