Serio

A guardian demon over 1000+ years old, first arriving as a wild young boy in Heian era Japan to protect and play with the daughter of the noble and prestigious Kanashima family. He was discovered by the head of the family, Tsukino, and brought back to his estate. Having not much information about his birth to begin with or no parents, Serio agreed to stay after meeting Yumei who was kind and generous and tamed his feral side. Yumei was special, gifted great abilities, she aged much like Serio did, along with several other members of the family with or without ill intent.

He was given the name Serio by Yumei, growing close into adulthood, he would always be near by to guard her. Serio didn't suspect that one of the family members wanted full control of Serio the more his abilities were exposed and after witnessing the first wolf transformation to aid Yumei against enemies. A collar was created that would force Serio into a binding relationship and prevent him from protecting the love of his life after a family uprising. He was hence forced to serve the current head of the family and following generations until the family fell apart meeting rivals, the Hatsuma family. Continuously caught up in the balance of dark and light Serio's contract was given over to the Hatsuma family to form an alliance. Serio reluctantly served the head of that family until a son was born into the Hatsuma family with good divine moral alignment. He swore his loyalty to Shin Hatsuma and got caught up another family war and a holy war. Years passed and Serio was free from his binding after Shin became head of the family. He continued to hold the title of a guardian demon but wandered after saying his good bye. He also remained loyal to the family and promised to protect Shin and his offspring if needed.

Luck would have it that Yumei's ancestor Yoru, would come into the world and happen upon Serio. Reunited again, though Yoru felt some connection, most of what was good in Yumei was gone. Yoru was a being of darkness, and a promise centuries old remained. The Kanashima bloodline would also reunite with the Hatsuma bloodline and join in unison much to Serio's dismay. Still, he was a guardian demon. It was his task to simply watch and protect. He had lived through so much and seen faces come and go, time change from one era to a next. Serio grew cold after the Hatsuma family was no more and a bitter betrayal on Yoru's part left him alone. Sure, there were times of his existence where he was alone, but from one immortal life to another, loneliness is an unpleasant feeling. He was generally caring towards demons of like species, and weaker creatures, he also has a deep passion for Yoru.
