  Dao was the second daughter of the Lianhua family, the tyrannical rulers of Nanhai commadery. After the collapse of central authority in China, the family had been able to use their wealth as a means of carving out a small domain, that they then lorded over like property. Laws were dictated by arbitrary methods, and the people received virtually no support. When the Sun family finally pushed into the county in 211, they were received with overwhelming support. The Lianhua family were nearly torn apart by ensuing riot that swept the capital, their lives only being spared by the timely intervention of the guards and the arriving Wu army. From there Dao and her family moved to Shu lands, and spent a full decade in exile.
  
  Dao spent those years stewing in misery. Her mother and father barely paid her and her siblings any attention, preferring instead to wallow in self pity. Eventually she had become fed up with her standard of living, and had cast off from her family to strike out on her own.
  
  Starting in 218, Dao began to wage a guerrilla campaign against Wu. She had spent many months gathering whatever common ilk that were provide her services, be it in exchange for wealth, power, or ...other services. She then moved this force of men through the Wu countryside, taking what they could and killing any who resisted. This continued until she finally arrived in Nanhai. Overtaken by a bout of bitterness, Dao ordered the entire area torched, the villages massacred, and the cities depopulated. As a result, over thirty thousand people were killed over a two month period before the bulk of Dao bandit force was routed by a Wu army.
  
  Enpoverished and defeated, Dao was forced back to Shu, where she decided to offer her services to Lord Liu Bei as a means of achieving her revenge.
  
  Dao is a very petty woman, and she is often prone to bouts of rage. She feels as though the world around her has robbed her of opportunity, and she lashes out as a means of coping. She is an accomplished warrior and logistician, though she often refuses to take advice from more experienced or resourceful warriors out of pride.
