• Seera:
  
  A deep sea mermaid, fully carniverous, fully scale covered. Made her way to the surface and met a witch who gave her an amulet that lets her take a human form, then met some scientists who she befriended. She's gruff, harsh, and lacks sympathy due to her harsh life on the sea floor, but she thirsts for knowledge about everything.
  
  
  Dexter:
  
  A relatively normal highschooler with the notable quirk of being able to read the emotions of those around him, and force his own emotions upon others.
  
  
  Ataraxus the Village:
  
  An ooblex, an old and powerful slime type creature who has eaten so many people it's become sentient and massive. It lives in the former ritual chamber built under a ruined cult village, sending out its proxies (semi autonomous families of the people it's consumed) to populate the town. Observant visitors may notice that every building has trap doors, that most of the people don't go far out of their houses, opting instead to 'meet you later' at whatever place you're going, and that every occupant of the town has a thin, glistening red line stretching back towards those trap doors. Ataraxus is, however, not a maelevolant force...it's grown bored of evil and of eating, and now is content playing the role of an entire village and waiting to see how long it takes visitors to figure it out.
  
  
  Mitternacht:
  
  A magical girl utilizing the power of 'dark', with pun inspired powers like "Fade to Black", causing all light to be extinguished, "Speed of Dark", allowing her to travel from shadow to shadow, and "Midnight Madness", which renders the person targeted blind and deaf until released. She's moody, snarky, and carries a pair of short swords to use when powers aren't quite enough.
  
  
  Asria:
  
  A mage who specializes in ritual magic, able to create rituals on the fly. She likens it to baking...those who don't understand what each ingredient does must follow the recipe, and do not know what may have caused anything that went wrong. Those who know can make substitutions or create entirely new recipes because they know how each thing added will effect the batter. She has a powerful 'time bubble' spell that allows her to stop inside a moment, though she must stay where she is, and through use of this she has studied well beyond her sixteen years. This also allows her to take time to create defenses in a fight or center herself in a heated situation. She can't effect things outside of the bubble, which is only about three feet across and six feet tall.
  
  
  Captain Blood:
  
  A pirate captain of a crew that's one third vampires. Conceived, born, and killed on the ocean, Blood has no 'home earth' and is comfortable on the waves. Her vampire crewmen run the specialized ship at night, while the human crew guards them by day. The Sanguine sails the seas under a strange set of rules, for pirates: Plunder and loot, but harm no one who doesn't stand against you. Blood's crew numbers sixty, men and women (though for the sake of roleplay Blood can be male or female).
  
  
  Hain:
  
  An amorphic golem made of shadow instead of clay. The 'instructions' are a merging of memory and emotion from two 'parent' humans, making Hain self aware and intelligent without having a soul. Able to control his* body down to the molecular level, Hain can change shape, colour, density, and even split off into multiple forms, shifting his intelligence between them at will.
  *Hain does not have a set physical body and typically does not care what pronouns are used for him, but as his chosen 'normal' form is slightly more masculine than androgynous, people usually default to 'him'.
