• Biography

  Edith grew up in a small, relatively poor village in the countryside called Borne. Her mother (Alice Fulk, nee Waltgaud) passed away during childbirth, leaving her father (Lothar Fulk) to raise her alone.
  
  Lothar was a dragon hunter by trade. Although it is a skill that is traditionally passed down the eldest son, he had no desire to remarry which resulted in Edith learning to hunt and butcher dragons. Edith's grandfather (Bennett Fulk) scorned Lothar for this breach in tradition. Bennett cut ties with Lothar and it is presumed he died from old age shortly after.
  
  Despite the tragedy marring Edith's first few years, the rest of her childhood was relatively happy. Her days were split between learning to read and write from an elderly tutor her father had scrounged enough coin to pay for, learning the skills needed to hunt dragons, and playing with the other children in the village.
  
  As her skill as a hunter grew, she took on increasingly dangerous bounties with her father. One of which resulted in substantial scars on her right side and arm when she slipped and fell onto a burning log while diving out of the way of a dragon's fiery breath.
  
  In her late teens, Edith's father fell ill from an infected dragon bite on his leg and later died. Edith, now left to fend for herself with her last remaining relative gone, departed from Borne shortly after. She embarked on a perpetual cross-country journey.
  
  Edith quickly learned that being a young, foreign woman would set her at a disadvantage when it came to hunting dragons. In the years leading up to her twenty-sixth, she was forced to take on bounties that no one else wanted - staggeringly dangerous hunts, or hunts with so little reward they were practically a waste of time - until she built herself enough of a reputation to become a respected dragon hunter in her own right.
  
  Presently, Edith travels freely about the land, taking on bounties by request or whenever she is short on coin.
